9.6/10 Exceptional! (363 reviews)
The hotel itself is beautiful, and several staff members were exceptional. Getting to the hotel with roads closed for a concert was a nightmare, but after calling the main line, a wonderful front desk employee went outside, found a valet, and had them come find us and guide us in. The valet, door, and lobby staff were fantastic throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the bar/pool service and overall planning for guest amenities need significant improvement. The bar closed at 10 p.m., yet some guests continued to be served while others were turned away, which was frustrating and inconsistent. At the pool, we were told the bar/restaurant opened at 10:30. It did, but the employee was still setting up and seemed bothered by our orders. Setup should be completed before the advertised opening time. The pool bar also didn’t serve Bloody Marys, so I was sent downstairs, where I was initially told the lobby bar didn’t offer walk-up service until 11 and that I needed to sit at a table—even though I had already ordered food at the pool. After speaking with the host, I was finally allowed to order. We also confirmed our late checkout both the night before and again that morning, yet our keys were deactivated while we were at the pool, leaving us unable to access our floor and requiring another trip to the lobby. For a hotel of this caliber, the guest experience should feel much more seamless and consistent.
