breakfast was decent, and the staff was super helpful, but where the property stood out was air conditioning during the heat wave, significantly lower prices than downtown, and easy transit to downtown/hbf via the 51 street tram. overall a really great stay with family.

Great location right near restaurant and internally connected with Novotel . Rooms are pretty basic with not very good air conditioning. , toilet seat is quite high so tricky with kids. Sink’s outside the bathroom and the shower’s got a glass door right in the room zero privacy, really awkward setup. No kettle for tea and no ironing allowed in the room . Wouldn’t choose it again.

We stayed here for a night. The room was clean, functional and practical. It is in a safe area. Breakfast was ok. We checked in late and staff was there to help around midnight. Bus and tram stations are right opposite the hotel.

I give the staff 5 stars but the hotel couldn’t even offer water or a spoon !!! I know it’s Switzerland and everything is expensive but a little cup of water, really?!! Breakfast was ok, No amenities whatsoever. Stay next door at Novotel that’s where we had to go every night to their restaurant, great amenities and atmosphere.

The hotel is great for transport links. Guess, trams and trains are within easy reach. The rooms are small, but functional. There are only two outlet areas (3 plugs and single plug) in the room, which might be fine if you have a Swiss plug, but for travellers with a plug adapter it means limited access to the three plug outlet because with an adapter you can only fit in to one space. For anyone with medical equipment, sleep apnea machine you will either need to bring an extension, or sleep with your head at the bottom of the bed. The plug is in the corner of the room and not next to the bed. Breakfast was ok. Nothing to write home about. The fruit juice and coffee were sometimes not topped up. So needed to get someone to resolve. FYI there is a fantastic bakery across the street from the hotel. I would go there instead. I’d consider returning as it was convenient.

You have to accept that hotels in Zurich are expensive. So this is not going to be anything better or worse than an Ibis Budget room elsewhere. That said, having stayed in a few of the chain now, you can do far worse and in rooms which cost more. They have almost everything you need. Most importantly, a comfortable bed, a quiet room and blinds that actually block out light so if you don't want to wake up at dawn, you don't have to. They have air con that actually responds to your settings as well, not to be sniffed at. The only frustration is they also have stickers asking you not to use the room kettle for cooking food nor to partake of any cooking in your room. What kettle? I would have loved a kettle. Just for a cup of tea. As a Brit, not to have the means for a brew is a serious business. So that was a real shame, especially considering the stickers warning you of the dangers of misusing something which was completely absent. Breakfast is extra on most rates, if you want to avoid spending on it, there is a nearby COOP where you can buy coffee and pastries or fruit at a reasonable price. Travel to and from the airport is a breeze; Hardbrucke station is on the direct S Bahn line. The area is an old industrial area which has been redeveloped so not the most beautiful but that said, it's good for tram access and a short walk to the river. There are several restaurants in the area if eating out.
