The host is so kind and helpful. We arrived low on gas and they helped us fill up from a local nearby since the gas station there is not yet completed. The drive up to Lifu is incredible. What an amazing place to live. The restaurants are about 3 min up the road and are all delicious and the views are unbelievable with the fog rolling around on the mountains. Breakfast was great and the resident kitty, "mouse" was a sweetheart. Still has that old school charm and well maintained. I really like the old bar with the smoking room and the food options are pretty good. I hear that Marriot recently bought the property so I'm very curious to see what they do with the old girl! Staff is very friendly and always helpful. Very good location to get to the trains and a very nice and walkable area. There is a great park nearby for a good morning workout. The breakfast in the morning is adequate. Nothing to wow you, but good enough to start your morning. Great workspace and overall a great old gem! This was my 4th time staying and I would definitely stay again. I hope Marriot doesn't get rid of the cigar room and destroy the bar! That is a classic Taipei bar that should retain a lot of the uniqueness! Looking forward to see what the future holds!
