We now live in the SF Bay Area but came home to Ypsi for a family gathering. My sister hasn't been to Ypsi in 50 years. We were charmed by this well-maintained 19th century home. The suite we stayed in had two comfortable bedrooms, a bathroom, sitting room and well-equipped kitchen. This unit was very clean and had all the basic essentials for a comfortable stay. We did not cook, but the kitchen was stocked with cookware and utensils. Motion detection outside lights for returning after dark. Off-street parking provided, but also plenty of street parking as well. Responsive host with excellent communication. Please note there are long outside stairs to gain access to the unit, which was fine with us, but would not be easy for someone with mobility issues. I made this booking because I thought the price was good compared to what else was available at the time. I wish the post directly mentioned that you are in a partitioned section of the same house as the owner. Otherwise, the post is as listed. Glory did provide a lot of amenities and appliances for us to use during the times we were there. She was also expeditious in handling an issue came up with the bathroom toilet. Will admit that the Ypsilanti neighborhood is a little shady - if you google search it you can see that there have been shooting deaths as recent as 2022\. Nevertheless, no harm came to my party during our stay. All these things considered, this spot is decent, and Glory works very hard to be a good host. However, I think I would just pay full price for a hotel if I ever do come back. ##### Insung H. It was within walking distance of everything, and a good place to stay in and relax. Hosts were wonderful, and it was enjoyable to sit in the backyard on a warm spring evening. The house is old and charming, and the apartment is comfortable and familiar in a cozy way. We appreciated that it was just a few short blocks to downtown Ypsilanti, and just a few more blocks from Depot Town, so it was easy to take a stroll, grab dinner/ice cream, and admire the historic architecture. ##### Katie R. Very quiet and private. We especially enjoyed having two bedrooms since my snoring bothers my wife.
