Good location 5 minutes drive to town centre free parking. Very helpful staff
Breakfast was very good dinner the food was very good
Rooms clean and functional
Great hotel for accessing Ypres, only a short walk into town and easy parking at hotel. Room was large, comfy bed and very clean. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of hot and cold options.
We were very pleasantly delighted with our stay at The Flanders Lodge.
We had just come from a stay at a 4star hotel in Holland which we have used several times and this time we very disappointed with it.
So, we were somewhat anxious as to what we would experience at The Flanders Lodge. However, it exceeded all expectations and it was an absolute pleasure. Would definitely stay again.
Great for a short stay in Ypres. You can walk to town in about 20 minutes. The breakfast was really good, lots of options for cooked and continental. The hotel was spotless. Only downside is the location, at the end of an industrial estate, but once you're there it's quite green and you don't notice this.
Rooms were quite nice and were quiet. Wifi seemed spotty which was a bit of a pain. We hit a day that the weather was not great but I would have loved to sit on the patio out front with a drink. In a bit of a commercial area and a bit of a drive to the main part of the town (5 minutes but would be a quite far walk). Very nice place.
The location of the hotel is fine 5 minutes by car to town centre free car parking at hotel. The staff were very good friendly and approachable.
The breakfast was very good too. Hot and cold food provided. there is a bar and lounge area which to relax in.
The room was good, the bed was great. Very quiet area of town. would stay there again
The hotel was nice we had been before but I was let down by yourselfs by not letting the hotel that I was disabled and need things in my room no disabled bars and I asked u for an early room so could take my tablets but no room and was told she did not get an e/mail from u
Very nice place. Friendly staff and a good breakfast. English TV was refreshing after recent trips to Germany and France. Really handy for downtown but not really walkable.
Had a spacious, clean room which was serviced every day. Great breakfasts and free on-site parking. Took around 25 minutes to walk to the Menin Gate from the hotel.
Traffic was bad so called as only 30 mins to end of check in. Got through to a very un professional lady who sounded like a night club was in the background. She took an age to tell me I didn’t have a reservation punctuated with several ‘oh god’ comments. Finally she found my booking and said I need not of phoned as the bar opened to 11am.
On arrival at nearly 10pm we parked in a muddy car park with no lighting at all. The main entrance was surrounded by men smoking. No one was on reception and a woman eventually came out of the bar, asked our name and handed over the room key! No passport check or Covid check. No visible Covid measures.
On going to our room the men that had been outside were lining the corridor. For the next couple of hours they were walking up and down the corridor, talking and going in and out of rooms.
The room was very basic, the furniture tatty. The tea cups were barely bigger than egg cups and only two coffee creamers supplied with several t bags and coffee sachets.
The beds were clean and fairly comfortable.
The supplied towels were barely t towel size and the body/hair wash in the shower had been severely watered down.
Breakfast was luke warm but choice acceptable. There was water leaking through the ceiling in the dining room in two places.
The hotel was in the middle of an industrial estate.
Did not feel comfortable with the surroundings and found the whole experience unprofessional.

Close proximity to Menin Gate, Tyne Cot Memorial and other attractions in the Flanders area.
A very comfortable king size bed was very much appreciated. The breakfast was quite good. Proximity to the Flanders fields museum and other World War I sites is also very good.

Ok hotel. Not a nice as other Best Westerns we have stayed in. Location was ok, can walk into town but it’s along a busy road without pavement in places.
The hotel is a very short drive from Ypres and pretty easy to find. Very comfortable and clean and good value. Excellent breakfast available. Our only gripe was that the restaurant was not open on Sunday evening when we arrived (early October, so maybe out-of-season?) but the very helpful receptionist ordered in pizzas for us.
Just a stop over for the night before heading home. We arrived late to the hotel and the carpark was overflowing but the reception staff helpful guided us to a nearby area where we could park up. The staff were all very friendly on arrival, at breakfast, cleaners in the corridor and on check out. The walls were a bit thin, so light sleepers may want to consider this. We slept fine though and would stay here again if we found ourselves on need of a short stopover in the area.
Clean and basic,Some of the furnishing was very basic, rooms a little dark on arrival, for a short stay the hotel was acceptable for the price paid, Very good choice for breakfast,
The hotel is pretty good. My only issue was that the bed was not the best I have ever come across with springs feeling quite loose and there being a bit of an angle as a result. that said I managed to sleep ok.
Buffet breakfast is very good and is among the best I have had.
We stayed here on a stop off back to Calais. Staff were grumpy, stayed in a new annex so all the fixtures were new etc so thought good start! We ate at the restaurant and ordered the same dish for both of us. We asked for the steaks “Bleue” as that’s how we like them. One was perfect the other was well done and tough. When the waiter asked what was wrong with it we told him and he just shrugged his shoulders. We could not sleep as the walls were paper thin and we could here every word of our neighbour and their tv. One bed creaked loudly every time you moved slightly it woke you up too. When we came for a shower one of the towels had brown marks over it so was unusable but as we had a ferry to catch we had to share. Breakfast was fine.
