Holiday Inn York by IHG
The hotel reception looked up to date and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, upon arriving to our 'family' room, there were only 2 mugs (not 4), 3 sets of towels (not 4) and there was a massive wine stain on the carpet. Stableside at York Racecourse
Great friendly hotel. Handy for local pubs (recommend The Cross Keys), the racecourse for parkrun (10 mins walk away from the start) and dog-walking. Frequent bus service at the top of the drive. Forget the budget chains - this is the one for us!

Radisson Hotel York
The river rooms are best as there is alot of early morning traffic in the roadside rooms. Other than that the hotel and staff were great.
