It's fantastic all year round for either a family, group or as a couples' retreat. In the warmer months enjoy the salty sea breezes, the sound of the waves rolling in and the smell of the bush from the deck or soak up the views in air-conditioned comfort. Bird life abounds and you may spot a koala, often in the trees across the road or in the back garden. Snuggle up in front of the wood heater in the cooler months watching the ever-changing moods of the sea. Leave the car parked as the Wye beach, cafe/general store with its artisan bread, pastries, and great coffee, and the Wye pub are less than a 5-minute stroll away. The comfortable open plan living incorporates dining and kitchen areas with ocean and Wye beach views. The fully functional modern kitchen includes breakfast bar, dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso Citiz & Milk Pod machine (operates with Nespresso compatible coffee pods) cook top and oven. The living area includes a dining setting for 6, leather lounge, two comfy armchairs, Smart TV with Bluetooth compatible soundbar, and telescope. Unlimited Wifi and Stan are available throughout the property. The main and second bedrooms have queen beds and ocean views. The third bedroom has 2 single beds. A portable Noirot heater is provided for additional heating. The bathroom is spacious with a large shower, vanity and toilet and it contains a practical European style laundry with washing machine. There's also a generous sized deck with outdoor setting. The BBQ (Weber Q) area has an additional undercover outdoor setting. Free wifi and stan. Linen provided. This house is perfect! The view is truly magical. To one side you feel like youre sitting within a famous bush painting with tall native trees and colourful Australian birds and then to the other you have beautiful ocean views. At night you feel like you could almost touch the stars. This truly is a place where the bush meets the beach and magic happens.Great Ocean Road Real Estate were wonderful to deal with from the start. So friendly and always happy to help. The owners of the property also made us feel very welcome with a lovely card, a welcome bottle of wine and lots of consideration for what a comfortable visit might need. The living area and kitchen were comfortable, modern and had everything you could think of. And, that beautiful seating area near the window, that was most definitely our favourite spot to sit and completely relax any time we had a chance. Our kids loved using the telescope to assess the waves, how many kids were on the beach and watch birds and other things going on around us. The house is a short 3-minute walk from the caf/store and local pub which are all sensational. We loved being able to lunch at the caf while the kids played in the playground and then regularly stepped up from the beach to the pub for a drink, gelati or meal. No matter where you turn, everyone in Wye River is super friendly it feels like a world of its own. We loved this visit and have rated it as one of our family favourites.
