This accommodation is just what you need for a restful layover in Tianfu. It’s clean, comfortable and just a short walk in the terminal complex from arrivals. The breakfast is good and there’s a pool and fitness suite too. We weren’t planning on a visit to China but our stay here has encouraged us to plan a proper trip through this airport sometime in the future. The surrounding landscape is beautifully designed and maintained. The room is clean and comfortable. The breakfast is delicious. But it’s in the Tianfu airport which is far from the city. However the hotel does offer an airport shuttle and the airport has a subway stop into Chengdu proper. Difficult to find and no signposting to help. Pod was clean but no signs of any air conditioning so did get hot. I thought I’d paid through Expedia but was asked to pay at the pods. The hotel staff helped me pay the driver by setting up a Chinese payment app on my phone. The hotel staff spoke English very well. They upgraded my room to a suite which was much appreciated. The suite was extremely spacious, well decorated and throughly clean. I was able to utilize the free shuttle bus back to the airport.
