Luxury linens and beds, 3 levels give you space and comfort to enjoy this year-round retreat. Walk to town, ski/snowboard/disc-golf Mountain High, or hike the famous Pacific Crest Trail. Sit around the fire, take time to relax, and reconnect with nature. The space The Wrightwood Cabin has been fully remodeled and decorated. The cabin is a 1974 gambrel-style (modified A-frame) cabin. Reset, reflect, and reconnect. Designed with a 'slow' pace in mind, we hope enjoy every part of your stay; from making coffee by drip in the morning, choosing the perfect record to put on as the sun sets, or by relaxing on the deck surrounded by pine trees and a starry night sky. This is a multi-level home with two sets of stairs.
Ground level: → Living room w/TV + dining table (seats 4) + fireplace + full bathroom w/bathtub → Bedroom w/queen → Back patio w/bbq and patio dining set (seats 6)
Second level: → Primary large loft bedroom w/king bed+ half bathroom + work station + privacy curtains
Walk out basement: → Built-in queen bed + small living area w/TV + full bathroom with shower + stacked washer/dryer + access to exterior back patio w/firepit and 4 Adirondack chairs
Our vintage cabin is centrally located in Wrightwood. Perfect for the family, friend vacation or romantic getaway. Built in 1974 but remodeled in 2022, modified A-frame retains all the vintage architecture + character but with a modernized look. All new beds and luxury bedding. Guest access Entire space is included in this rental, except for 2 outdoor storage units. Please, make yourself at home. Other things to note Rental Contract: A rental contract is required to be signed 48 hours after booking. You will receive an email with an easy e-doc of the contract for you to sign.
No Large Parties Allowed: Large parties are prohibited. Our cabin is located in a quiet neighborhood and noise (even in small amounts) is amplified very easily around. Please be respectful of your noise levels while out on our decks, especially after 10pm and early morning.
No Animals: We love animals, but we do not permit animals at our cabin. Guests who violate this rule will be fined.
Service Animals: Service dogs are allowed. We appreciated guests using a service dog to let us know before you visit that you will be bringing an ADA approved service dog. Out house is not usually set up for animals and we want to make sure you have what you need.
Parking: We have room for 5 cars, 2 that can fit in our driveway, and the rest can be in the front inlet. In Spring/Summer months the driveway is fine to use. In Winter months, depending on ice and snow, the downhill driveway could be tough to get out of if you do not have chains. You must not block the street and are subject to a fine if you do. During the Winter months, we also have a private gate to our home that will need a passcode to enter. We will supply after booking.
Chains: If you book a stay between November - May you should anticipate winter road conditions and the possibility of needing cables/chains to travel to Wrightwood. Please check road conditions and weather forecasts before driving up.
Property Boundaries: In our neighborhood, there are no fences. We love that this gives an open feel and provides beautiful views; however, it is good to remember that not all the land you see is our property. Our front and back yard are yours to enjoy, but please stay out of neighboring properties — especially after it snows.
Security Cameras: We have 1 security camera + floodlight located on the side of our house as well as 1 Ring Doorbell camera at our main door. We respect our guest's privacy. Cameras are not monitored and are there for security purposes.
HVAC: We do currently have AC. It keeps most of the house reasonably cool on a hot day, with the exception of the top-level loft. We do have fans for the top 2 bedrooms in addition to a portable Dyson fan. On warmer days, you can open the windows, turn on the fans and get a nice breeze going throughout the house. The walkout basement stays very cool all summer long. We do have central heat as well. It gets nice and toasty once turned on!
Plumbing: Due to its location the cabin is on a septic system. Please use only provided toilet paper or septic safe tissue, and do not flush anything else in the toilet even if it says "flushable".
Age Requirement: Must be 21 years old to rent The Wrightwood Cabin.
