The hotel staff was very friendly, efficient and helpful.
Our bed mattress was one of the BEST we have experienced in quite some time of travel: firm mattress, good pillows.
So pleased to have had air conditioning on our July trip - and really good AC, at that.
Paddington Station is just a couple of minutes' walk down the street, as are Marks & Spencer and Sainsbury's (groceries).
We had no trouble finding excellent cafes and pubs in this neighborhood, and we felt safe, early morning to late evening.
Hyde Park and all it offers is just a short walk away as well.

Given the price for a room in this hotel, I was disappointed by the standard of maintenance. Room 443, the TV screen kept breaking up,the remote control didn't work properly, the shower leaked under the door and the flexible shower arm was coming apart revealing the plastic pipe inside. On the plus side, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Another point to note for those with mobility issues, its at least half a mile to the nearest tube station.

After I confirmed room with insurance, Expedia provided my booking that said room was non-refundable. I also noted that there were no windows in this room.
It turned out to be a basement room.
I wasn’t in the room very much.
London hit record breaking heat, so being in the basement was cooler than above ground.
Disappointed that Expedia’s fine print was not apparent before purchase.
