Lovely clean room, great swimming pool, fab breakfast. Terrible organisation, and not good customer service. I arrived for a one night stay that I'd booked only a few hours before, I was so grateful they could check me in early. In my room was just a fan, the aircon not working on a day of 32 degree heat. They said they would send maintenance as no other room at that point was available. After waiting an hour and then after the normal check in time I came down to switch rooms. I was told that half the rooms didn't have working aircon. I pointed out to them that I'd only booked that day, why didn't they stop selling rooms or call people? I thankfully got a new room after 90 minutes of waiting. Later I had a very overpriced and terrible glass of wine with a friend outside. All the tables were covered in food, glasses and drink. In the two hours we sat there no one cleaned up, and a lot of the mess was still there the next day. Later I tried calling room service, after 10 minutes of no answer with room service and reception I went down there to be told that after 9 you had to go to the restaurant to order and then they will deliver (which is not what they put on the TV!). The receptionist was also very unpleasant to deal with. I spoke to so many guests who were disappointed. I have stayed at a lot of Hiltons and will continue to do so in the future but not here!. I would recommend some staff training, and for the staff to be a little more proactive and people friendly.
