The property was very close to downtown and though a few blocks away it is walkable. There are many shops and restaurants downtown. The staff was very accommodating with any request. The Founders Restaurant was delicious with a menu to please anyone looking for a great brunch which was complimentary. They are soon going to open to the public for dinner soon. The only reason I gave four stars for cleanliness is because there were two wash cloths left hanging in the shower from the previous guests. The bathroom could use a bench or shelf under the window to accommodate toiletries. That's my only suggestion. We would definitely stay here again.

Shaffner Inn is a delightful / historic residence restored to a high standard with modern HVAC and comfy bed. Enjoyed our stay and won't hesitate to book future stays here.
