"The overall experience was very good, a quiet place to return to after a busy day. Additionally, the "pet-friendly" option provided a fenced back yard with an "as needed" shelter for both pet and human to enjoy their time in the yard."

"Judy left a voicemail so we knew exactly when we could check in and how to get there, etc. She was so friendly. She let us pet her goats and see the chickens and ducks and Todd the turkey. The silo is so spacious and beautiful inside. It was immaculately clean and had everything we needed! Great king-sized beds and 1 and 1/2 bathrooms for convenience. So quiet with a beautiful view and not far from Lake Mac and Ash Hollow. Would stay again in a heartbeat!"

"We had a wonderful stay! The house is absolutely perfect — clean, comfortable, and a great place to relax. Everything was well cared for, and we really enjoyed our time here.A few things future guests should know:Lake McConaughy water levels: The water level was extremely low during our stay over Labor Day weekend 2026. To actually get to the water, we had to drive about 20 minutes east, so keep that in mind if being right by the water is important to you.Sandburs: If you're visiting later in the summer, be prepared for sandburs! They were absolutely brutal and seemed to be everywhere during our stay. Definitely something to be aware of, especially if you have kids or pets.Train noise: You can definitely hear the trains. It didn't bother us much, but if you're a light sleeper, I'd recommend bringing earplugs or a white-noise machine.Despite those things, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely give this property 5 stars. The house itself is excellent, and we'd happily stay here again!"

"Highly recommend this property for larger groups. We had 13 of us across 3 families and the house was perfect. Great amenities, beautiful views, well stocked house, awesome backyard and firepit make this an ideal spot. Hopefully the lake returns back to historical levels soon."

"This home is gorgeous and worked perfectly for our large family. The bedrooms are spacious, as are the bathrooms, and the open layout of the kitchen and living room, paired with the open deck, gave us so much space. The kids enjoyed the game room on the lower floor. The decks are amazing and provide a beautiful view of the lake."
