"The room was clean and comfortable. The shower was disappointing- weird showerhead was difficult to adjust. The outlets bedside were inadequate. I always travel with a powerstrip extension cord, just in case. There were several areas outside where flagstones and cement needed repairing."

"Upon arrival we were greeted and welcomed by Shelly, she is extremely helpful and very happy. I personally love it when they are genuinely friendly and happy! The room was very clean, had plenty of room and real coffee mugs! It’s the simple things in life! The bed was very comfortable and I slept great! The breakfast buffet was prepared by Mona and again a very happy, friendly employee who went out of her way to make sure we had anything and everything we wanted or needed, just as Shelly had done EVERYTIME we seen her. Mona is the Pastry Chef and let me tell you, she made the BEST carrot cake we have ever had!! (I am a former chef and baker, and it was better than mine! ) Her Forest fruit pie ala mode was exceptional as well! If you are in the area, STOP in and grab a bite to eat! You won’t regret it! Thank you Shelly and Mona for the incredible hospitality, you are amazing! Beth and John"

"Nice place to spend a night. Staff was friendly, room was reasonably clean and quiet. The hotel could use a little sprucing, but we were happy with our night’s stay. We did not use the pool or have the breakfast, so cannot comment on that. It was great of the staff to offer an early breakfast to accommodate Ironman attendees."

"I had a great time here. The room was beautiful. I was surprised how much space you get. I visited in the summer and it has AC if you need it. I like the log cabin feel they have with the wood paneling on the walls. I had a little snafu with the room code at first but the gentleman from the staff that came down was super helpful and friendly and we got that sorted out quickly. They have a completely virtual check in system which is cool, just be prepared for it unlike me lol. Not very good phone service up here so its a good idea to set everything up earlier, and make sure you have a phone that will work. Other than that it worked good. The king suite came with a kitchenette area with a fridge, microwave and even a little gas range. If you're staying a while you've got a nice place to cook a little bit. A nice kitchen table. There is a nice little sitting area with a sofa too. This is in a nice quite spot too. I usually don't prefer the "Motel" style so I was nervous but this spot is really nice and private. The location was convenient for all the places I was visiting to "Sight see". I timed exactly 15 min. drive back into Lake Placid, and to my pleasant surprise, the road to Whiteface mountain is right around the corner. It was my first visit up to the Adirondacks I stayed here and one other place in a different town, and this was definitely my favorite place. Definitely will be on the top of my list next time I find my way up to this region."

"My room was immaculate...clean, quiet, safe and comfortable. Shout out to the towels!!!! So plush and absorbent. The bed was comfy with lots of pillows. I also loved the Adirondack decor and chairs. The continental breakfast was fantastic and set up with a very homey feel. Thank you for a great stay."
