From our location you can literally walk to all the restaurants, bars, and shopping that you can handle. Wilmington\`s famous Battleship NORTH CAROLINA is moored just across the river and can be seen directly from the balcony of my condo. Bespoke, the best coffee shop in town is just a 3 min walk Wake and Bake Donuts is just 2 min. Walk to the historic district and soak up some Wilmington\`s unique history or stroll down the riverwalk and enjoy the views. By car the condo is 12 minutes to the airport, 14 minutes to UNCW campus, 20 minutes to Wrightsville beach, and 25 minutes to Carolina beach. The public bus stop is a 3 min walk away. But most area\`s are easily walkable from your downtown location. I almost hate to reveal this in case we decide to return next year, but the Wilmington fireworks display from the patio was one of the best, if not THE best vantage points for viewing! If you like a soft bed then you will love the mattress in the bedroom. If I was being picky the drains didn’t drain fast but that comes with an older building and the sheets were a bit rough and probably time to be replaced. However you couldn’t ask for a better location. So many cute shops, restaurants, and pubs/bars within walking distance. There is so much to do we didn’t even get to a lot of the activities on our list. Definitely will be coming back to vacation here again! ##### Rachel J. It’s very cozy and the security makes you feel safe and the location is so convenient for nighttime being downtown by the river walk was great! The host was very helpful and quick response every time I had a question which I loved!! Folks rating these places must be compensated for overinflating. The only good qualities are on-site parking and the view of the battleship. There is no chest in the bedroom for clothes. The bed was agonizingly uncomfortable, and the linens are so rough they feel like burlap. The bedroom carpet is also filthy and buckled. The shower doesn’t drain well. When you finish-you are ankle deep in water. The host messaged on arrival to let her know if there was anything not a 5-star rating. Really? When I complained – all I got were platitudes about comfort being subjective. I would like for her to spend a night on that mattress and see how it works for her. Buy some nice furniture. Get a quality mattress. Replace the horrid bedroom carpet and the peeling laminate flooring. Invest in high thread count sheets. Fix the shower. The condo may then deserve a 10 rating or something close to 5 stars. We paid for 3 nights and left after one. I’ll never use VRBO again. Next time I’ll pick a nice hotel, at least complaints are addressed. VRBO opened an incident and I never heard from the host. ##### Lori R.
