The bed was comfortable, and the apartment was clean. The check-in directions were a bit confusing -- the code provided specifically to you is the code for everything. Don't follow the code in the instructions. The amenities met the minimum requirements, but that is something easily remedied if you plan ahead. (We didn't. See "last-minute" trip above.) That is on us, not necessarily a reflection on the apartment. Just something for other guests to know and think about. Based on description and other reviews I proceeded. Check-in was problematic. Electronic lock did not work and never did. Fortunately owner had hid a key. Furnishings are very basic. Cleanliness is an issue - mold in shower, stains on towels. Can't beat the location! We loved walking out the door and into the thick of it all. Weren't sure about safety at night, since there were so many people around for bars and clubs and such, but it turned out to be fine. Also, if you stay on a weekend, understand that there are bars with loud or live music and people just a floor below in the street and alley. We definitely heard it on Saturday until the am hours. but the host does let you know about that and provides a sound machine to help. We didn't need it, but it was not too bad. We were so tires from all the walking we did during the day, and the few drinks at night, that we were sleeping pretty quickly. Overall great stay.
