City Club Suite - #53 Oscar Wilde

Our guests say this is a hidden gem in historic downtown Wilmington! This one-bedroom suite features a private bath, kitchen and temporary membership to Wilmington's exclusive City Club. Enjoy a comfortable living room complete with desk, sofa and Roku TV. Sleep in the luxury Queen bed and relax in the large jacuzzi tub or stand-up shower.
Please note that the fireplaces are not functional, as they are many years old and just not safe. We hope to have them back for winter 2025. Also, we no longer provide parking with the stay. There are numerous paid and free parking spaces in the downtown area.
The Inn at City Club is within walking distance of many other fine and casual dining restaurants, coffee shops, nightclubs and local theaters.

Great stay in Wilmington

Our stay was amazing. It was very reasonably priced for the 4th of July weekend. The room was very clean, beautiful, and spacious. The entire hotel was gorgeous. It was a 5 minute walk from great restaurants, shops, coffee, and the riverwalk. One of the best stays I’ve ever had. And the check in process was so easy!

We loved it!

We had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful (inside and out) BNB. The owners were so kind. The history of this building was truly amazing to learn about. All the rooms have gorgeous antiques, both pleasing to the eye as well as very comfortable. All the Downtown shops and restaurants were amazing. Would certainly go back again, as it was wonderful to experience.

Incorrect listing

Nowhere to be found was the fact that you needed to climb the staircases in order to get to the suite. You need to climb a staircase just to get started into the building. Some may find it quaint but the fact that the bed is 4&1/2 feet off the ground is not quaint. It needed cleaning, the air vents look like they hadn’t been cleaned in months. Quite frankly we left a day early because of this.

Nice property. Close to the Riverwalk. An old historic building that is clean and well maintained. The only surprise was that you need a 2-step stepstool for getting into the Queen Anne bed.

This place was great. We were able to check in an hour early. We loved the size of our room, having a separate bedroom and sitting room was so nice. The location is great, its within walking distance of the riverwalk, the restaurants and shops! We would definitely stay here again.

Historical Elegance

What a magnificent way to step back in time and still enjoy the excellence of service and modern amenities. We were so thrilled with the beautiful historical accommodations and the elegantly appointed suites along with necessary staples needed to enjoy a VRBO. The gas fireplace and the jacuzzi were a definite pleasure. It was such a treat to be able to dine at City Club during our stay as well. Great service, wonderful staff and beautiful memories.
