My friends were here from the midwest. They were impressed with the spacious home. The closeness of the downtown area. You did a great job in remodeling. They would love to stay there again if ever in the area.
We had a wonderful stay! The home was in walkable distance to everything around downtown and the riverfront. It was spacious and clean. The owners communicated very well. We’d definitely stay again!
We were in town for my son’s wedding with family members and friends coming from all over the southeast. The location of the home was fantastic as it was within walking distance's to both the wedding venue and brunch event. The house was spacious and having 3 large bathrooms really helped with getting everyone ready and together on time.
We loved staying at this house. The location was absolutely perfect for us. We were in town for a family wedding and the church was just across the street! The pre-wedding parties were very close by as well as the reception. The house was very clean, and it accommodated my family of 8 quite well. Neal was very responsive to my questions before and during our stay. I would definitely stay there again!
I can’t say enough great things about this property and the host! It was spacious, clean, ample secure parking, conveniently located, and seamless to check in/out of. The home itself had everything we needed for a race weekend and made logistics super smooth. It’s walking distance to downtown Wilmington (seriously just straight down Market) and the neighborhood was great for walking the pups.
Great home close to everything. We were able to walk to the Live Oak Bank Pavilion/Riverfront Park and everything downtown. Suited our group perfectly!
We had the best stay at this sweet Greek Revival home! It was the perfect location to walk downtown with our kids, visit Wrightsville Beach, adventure to Carolina Beach and just enjoy the company. We were two large families traveling to spend time all together and this home made that happen. The kids loved bunking together, reading books and playing games. The large kitchen made cooking family dinners so much fun. Although it was so close to downtown, we never felt as if it was busy or loud.
We were in Wilmington for a family wedding. The house was beautiful, big, clean and exactly as advertised. The location was wonderful. We could walk everywhere for the gatherings. We would definitely stay there again.
Such a fabulous house with historical flare and yet all the comforts. We had twelve people comfortably in this home. It was so open and easy to get to anywhere. Perfect distance to the river walk. I loved drinking my coffee on the porch each morning. It was so nice and clean and the hosts were very accommodating. We would love to go back again!!
1860 House is absolutely perfect for any length of stay! It is comfortably appointed and has been tastefully renovated. There is a small section (not to spoil the fun of finding it) of the original interior wall that's framed that sparked a wonderful discussion amongst my family about historical architecture:) Make sure you enjoy time on the front porch swing and take a leisurely shower in the ground floor double shower! Be careful on the steps to upstairs as they are original and VERY narrow. Our small dog was at home as well.We also cannot say enough about hosts Neil and Jeanine, who made us feel like family! They truly are super hosts and set the standard for other hosts to aspire to. Thank you for everything! We are trying to figure out when we can come back...after hurricane season, of course!
Close to the airport and downtown. Easy to find. Beautiful house. Beautiful spacious open kitchen. Good parking. The house does sleep about 10 maybe 12 comfortably. If you can bring a blow up bed or two that’ll be helpful if you’re party has a lot of couples or older people. On of the spaces on the main level is huge but it only has a sofa and a futon. The only thing I didn’t care for is we pay a cleaning fee but some of the existing checkout rules is to strip all used bedding, put all used towels in the washer and start it, take out all trash and start the dishwasher but I guess that keeps the cleaning fee low… But I would definitely rent it again.
