Holland House Ark Adventure

  • Enjoy this quiet home and be just minutes from The Ark Encounter. Nestled in a wooded area with a creek flowing nearby. Enjoy nature at its finest. This home offer cozy outdoor relaxation for a weekend getaway. Enjoy this property and all that it has to offer in the area. We are a short drive to Lexington, Cincinnati and Louisville. We are also located less than 45 minutes from The Creation Museum.

    As you walk into the property, you will enter through the main living space. To the left is the dining table and straight ahead is the living room with plenty of seating and a Smart TV. as you continue out of the main living space, there is a full-sized kitchen to the left of this space.

    The full-sized kitchen has many appliances and cookware for guests to use throughout their stay. This kitchen also has a starter supply of k-cups, sweeteners, creamer, and dishwasher pods. Attached to the kitchen is the laundry room, which is also equipped with laundry detergent, fabric softener, bleach, and dryer sheets. The kitchen also has a door that leads to the back of the patio, and out to the grill area.

    Leaving the kitchen, you can go down the hallway to the left and see the bedrooms and bathroom. Bedroom 1 and the bathroom are located on the left side of the hallway. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are located on the right side of the hallway. Each bedroom has a queen-sized bed, accommodating 1-2 guests each. Bedrooms 1,2, and 3 all share the full-sized bathroom.

    The bathroom is equipped with a starter supply of shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and toilet paper. Extra towels and washcloths are located under the nightstands in bedrooms 1 & 2, and on top of the nightstand in bedroom 3.

Nice little house.

This is a nice little house, just a few miles from the Ark. The only reason I rated at four stars instead of five is that the shower curtain has orange mold at the bottom, and what appears to be boogers crusted on the inside. Everything else was nice and clean. Plenty of towels and comfortable beds. This was a pleasant place for me and my family while we enjoyed The Ark and Williamstown.

Our Minnie vacation stay

The property was clean. It had a slight musty smell. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the deck immensly. It was nice and quite and sitting out on deck every morning with a cup of coffee was very relaxing. If we every head back to kentucky I would like to stay there again.

Overall: the property met our basic needs and is much better than staying at a hotel (with one big room with 2 queens) with two children under 3. The house was just as listed. I was surprised that it was supplied with everything we needed (paper towels/toilet paper/soap/shampoo/ EVERYTHING! Our gps took us the wrong way and I called the property manager and she stayed on the phone with me and walked us through directions until we pulled into the driveway. Loved the porch and the fact it was so close to the Ark Encounter.

Great stay very near to the Ark

This house is about a mile from the Ark so it is very convenient. The house has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom met our needs but it would have been nice to have another half or full bath. The living room and kitchen had plenty of space and the table was nice to play games on. We commend the follow places to eat: Mexican restaurant next to Ark, Edwardo Pizza, Cattleman’s Roadhouse and The Bean. The host of the house was very responsive and helpful. We would recommend this house and would stay again if we come back to the Ark.

Home near Ark Encounter

We were taking a weekend to see the Ark Encounter. This home is about 2 minutes from the Ark Encounter and was perfect for that. We only stayed 2 nights and weren't at the home much, but it was nice to have that added space for each kid to have their own room. The only downfall for us is we wished there was a tv in the bedrooms. When there is a wide age gap in the kids and then us adults, we all wanted to just have a bit to lay in bed and unwind watching tv for a few minutes after a long day.

The house was nice and cozy, however when we arrived the house smelled very musty inside. There were also a few dishes that we found that were dirty/greasy that were in cabinets. The beds were pretty comfy and had adequate blankets/pillows. The shower also has very good hot water and water pressure but lacks a little in the shower head quality as it more so feels like being sprayed with a broken garden hose... Overall not a bad place to stay but could use some attention to the noted details

Location could not be batter

An older property, the house has slope inside in two different directions. Multiple spiders inside the property. Those were the only negatives. Positives, location for the Ark Encounter could not be better, the kitchen is very well appointed with everything needed. Privacy was excellent and the kids (teens) loved the fireflies. The dehumidifier was very nice to have. UNO was fun, a few more games might be nice, but that could be hard to do. Communication was excellent with the hostess. I think we are all used to hotels and taking out the trash might have been a bit of a surprise responsibly, just for us.
