"NEVER AGAIN!!! The facility stunk like wet dogs. We got into our room and the commode did not work, the top lid of the toilet looked like it hadn't been wiped down in weeks, the floor was filthy with dirt, spills and hair, and the bathtub was scummy with soap residue and hair. I called the front desk about the unflushing commode and the filth. I was told maintenance and cleaning would be called right away. Maintenance got the toilet working but no one showed up to clean. After an hour we decided to check out and required a refund. It was denied. I told them I placed the reservation with expectations of cleanliness and THEY defaulted. Even Hotels.com would not make it totally right in refunding my money. SHAMEFUL!!!!"

"We got the last open room (listed) - and it was very good - helpful, friendly checkin staff, clean reception office, very nice room - excellent bed, very clean bathroom. Morning breakfast was ready at 6 AM - good combination- to please all. Recommmend!"

"Clean Room, comfortable beds. Front desk staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Troutville location going to and from Gatlinburg TN. After our 1st night we asked for a ground room floor for when we came back a few days later. They made it happen and were very helpful. Good location. Recommend Angells Diner down the road about .5 mi. if you dont want to do Cracker Barrel which is walking distance."

"Room was clean, but the temperature in 314 would not get the room as cold as we like it. Check-in process should move faster and a greeting goes a long way. We travel between NY and FL and we have literally stayed at this location 26 times in the last 2 years. The hotel is newer and clean. It depends who you get for the check in and out process. This hotel is filled with contractors and transient guests that expect hot coffee and breakfast. The last 3 stays have failed on providing either all while watching the receptionist sitting at the desk as if it not a big deal. These were all new faces to us, so it could be new management. We're still unsure what member of mgt came up with ultra small 5 pillows for a king bed. This does not add to comfort, but everyone knows this. Nonetheless, we have had better experiences. Hoping this was a fluke."

"i have stayed at days inn hollins quite a few times and always enjoy my stay. hotel is always clean, bathrooms have been remodeled lots of fresh paint is obvious. staff is very helpful and friendly. free breakfast is good and has some hot items. my favorite place to stay in the roanoke, va area and the price is more than reasonable."

"Very nice staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was included with room fee. The breakfast was tasty, well stocked even after 09:00. Stayed a week and it was very nice to be treated so well by all the staff."
