Very comfortable stay. Ordered room service for two adults and two children. Arrived quickly and staff was very friendly. Always enjoy staying at the Hyatt. Beautiful river view too.

Upscale yet family friendly

Posted 11-Mar-2017
Loved it. Had a blast with our kiddo at the pool / hot tub. Salad and burger from the bar were seriously delicious. Drinks were a little pricey. Everything was very clean, which I rarely find at hotels. Everyone was friendly. Coffee bar right downstairs was perfect for a quick breakfast. Pay the extra and valet park... parking yourself is a pain and still costs.

Not to impressed for a higher end hotel...

Room was run down and not clean, shower faucet coming out of surround, tub would not drain, and they didn't replace toiletries or coffee for second night stay. Would not recommend unfortunately

Really enjoy my stay! Staff was very helpful with directions and events. Good view of the city and the river. Great access to both!

Beautiful full service hotel next to Ark. River

Posted 16-Feb-2017
We have stayed here several times over the years. Great atmosphere, amenities such as the bar and staff and the restaurant including the Starbucks in the lobby. The food is always wonderful and the brunch is outstanding. Always clean and love the location down town close to Lawrence-Dumont Baseball Stadium, next to the river and only a few blocks to the famous "Old Town" area where there is great variety of restaurants and entertainment! Hotel also offers a free and convienent shuttle to all of these areas within a few miles of the hotel. Valet parking and a covered garage. Pool and next to walking paths along the river. Only issue we have had TWICE now, is that someone (probably an intoxicated guest) has somehow managed to set off the fire alarm in the hotel in the middle of the night. VERY UPSETTING, thankfully always a false alarm.

Dear MLK, First, we thank you for being such a loyal guest of our hotel and for sharing with us about your visits. Your insights are wonderful and we really couldn't have said it any better. We do apologize however for both occasions when the fire alarm sounded and caused you to have to leave your guest room. We are also thankful that it was a false alarm, but we know that it can be frustrating to be settled in for the night and awoken by an alarm. We hope your travels bring you back to Wichita as we would love to welcome you back. Best regards, Hyatt Regency Wichita

Tv problems

Posted 17-Jan-2017
We got back to our room at around 11 pm Tried to watch tv and the remote wouldn't work. Called the front desk they sent up a nice man named josey. He tried to fix it for about 30 min. with no luck. It just sucks to spend $150 on a hotel room and not even be able to watch tv.

I had higher expectations of the Hyatt brand.

Posted 12-Jan-2017
Pros: The fruit infused water available on weekdays until 8pm in the lobby. It's delicious.
Cons: Housekeeping and cooks in restaurant.
Location: There were a lot of restaurants close to the hotel, it was close to Old Town and the lobby was always clean and well kept.
I recently stayed at The Hyatt Regency Wichita for 16 days and I was disappointed numerous times. For 2 nights in a row I brought a wine glass to my room and no one removed the dirty glasses from my room. I called the front desk and they apologized. The next day I walked into the room to find a plate of dried fruit and nuts next to the wine glasses that I originally asked them to take. There was also a wash cloth in the bathroom that was stained with wine and it had not been removed. Once again I had to call the front desk. Once again I got an apology. The night before I left I got under the covers and felt something strange at my feet. It was the sheet that was never pulled up before the bed was made. All they did was pull up the blanket. The floor was never vacuumed, sometimes the garbage wasn't emptied, the coffee was not replaced a few times. Out of the 16 days, my room was cleaned perfectly one day. I ate at the restaurant for dinner. The ceviche had shrimp that was tough to eat, I returned the dish. I have never done that. I ordered the soup as a replacement and that was salty. My friend, who was also staying at the hotel did not enjoy her meal and also had issues with housekeeping.
