"We absolutely loved our stay at Baan Sakuna. The owners (the family) are so friendly and sweet and accommodating. The views from the property are spectacular. We enjoyed a drink on their terrace and delicious meals. This is the right place to go if you're looking for a peaceful stay at the northern Thai border."

"We had a river front room which was great. It was wondrful to sit on the balcony and watch the river activity. If there is one complaint it is that it was difficult to get a cocktail around the pool during the day, seems no one is tending the bar during the day."

"The views are sensational, but only 1 plug socket on one side of bed, no bedside tables or lights, the set of stairs to get to the 1st floor rooms were like climbing mount Everest. However the staff were more then helpful. The rooms were cleaned ok, the railings on the balcony were filthy. My girlfriend had to clean. Only 1 chair on balcony. But nice and quiet away from the noise of traffic in town"

"I absolutely loved my stay at Fortune River View Hotel. I had a room facing the Mekong and it was beautiful. There is a walkway right out front of the hotel where you can walk, run, or ride your bike and it goes for quite a ways. I had dinner in the restaurant and not only was the food good, the portions were quite large."

"Property advertises as a resort, but there only pool was under repairs due to some leaks. What was extremely disappointing is that they did not warn us about the broken pool. This was extremely selfish, as reservation clearly had indicated we are arriving with young children."
