Thankfully we were able to use our hotspot. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything from the other rooms. Bring extra blankets in the winter months. Spider webs everywhere and wasp nests. Luckily I found the nests a did away with them before anyone was hurt. Also, supplies were very limited. We were there for 4 days. It was stated that all trash had to be tied up in bags or there would be an additional charge. We were only provided 2 trash bags. Also, only 1 laundry detergent pod, and 2 dishwasher pods. That seems a little extreme when considering what I paid to stay there. Like I stated, overall we had a great time. I just feel some things were overlooked. And then the one night he did stay there somebody tried to break in the back window of his truck. So the rest of the family that was supposed to go we decided not to go at all and put our lives or vehicles at risk. It's just a shame that we lost so much money on renting a place that was very deceiving with their pictures. My advice do not rent this place ##### Karen K. We got stung a few times thankfully nobidy was allergic to bees on this trip. Also on Thursday our kids was outside placing and some guys that said they worked for the owner of the residence were outside walking around the property. One of the guys had a gun on his waist which is fine however an announcement that they were coming to look through the storage under the house would have been more appropriate. The pillows and lamp were in the floor upon our arrival. We did have clean towels and floors. I wouldnt say it looked dirty though, I just tend to inspect a place before I stay in it. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very much looking forward to our riverfront vacation and listening to the sounds of the river. The house appears to have been updated recently however the surrounding area does not make you feel very safe. There are several abandoned homes directly in front of the property and several dogs who roam free and swim in the river right next to the house. The bridge is very close to the home and vehicle/road noise drowns out any sounds of peace. Sleeping is nearly impossible between the dogs barking, passing road traffic and lights from the cars shining directly into the master bedroom, curtains would be a great addition. After long days of adventuring in nature, the kids enjoy being able to unwind watching tv or utilizing electronics which they weren’t able to do due to the home not having internet. The listing for this home does not state that there is no WIFI or internet even though the TV has internet? Upon calling we were told there direct tv but there wasn’t direct tv but a smart tv with only apps for the guest to use their own streaming accounts on. We do not feel comfortable entering our personal information into a stranger’s television and this should be advertised. We wouldn't have rented this property if we had known. Most dishes were dirty upon arrival and had to be washed before using and the kitchen lacks amenities including a toaster. We will not be returning to this property as there are plenty of options which would allow us to enjoy the beautiful landscape of the area. ##### christine c. ### 6/10 Okay #### John B. 26 Jul 2022 Liked: Check-in, communication Disliked: Cleanliness, location, listing accuracy #### Too expensive for the quality of the home I wouldn't describe our stay at this little home on the river as awful, but we did expect a lot more for the price. It does back up to the river, and the back porch is nice, but the interior of the home was what one might expect from a low-end motel. No modern updates, and it didn't seem as though it had been thoroughly cleaned in a while. If you're looking for a spot for a bunch of dudes to crash after you spend most of your time at Harrah's Casino, I would say this is a good spot. If you're bringing your family up to the mountains for hiking, etc., I'm not sure you're going to be happy with your choice. The management company was easy to work with, they provided a lot of towels, and it had a lot of coffee cups, dishes, pots and pan. We paid about $300 per night with the fees, and I think it was worth about half that amount. ##### John B. We raised the windows at night and listened to the river at night! The back porch is so nice being directly by the river. The beds were all very comfortable and the kitchen was fully furnished. The only complaint we have was the steps leading down to the river by the porch are treacherous. One of our family members fell and almost landed in the rocks.
