This was one of the most beautiful places we have stayed! Very well stocked kitchen. Thoughtful to have coffee to get us started and a bottle of wine! Beds were very comfortable. spectacular view.
What a great house! Super clean and well furnished. The kids had a great few days dock fishing and paddling the kayaks around. We even saw the Northern Lights! We will definitely be back to this home!
Perfect place for our family for the weekend. Very new updated interior and just the right amount of space. CLEAN. Well accessorized kitchen. Great Lake view.
There was a very musty smell on the main floor. Luckily they had candles that could be lit. There was also no hot water tea kettle to use for hot tea. Otherwise very well equipped and supplied. Very clean inside. It is too bad the kayaks could not be used because it was beautiful weather for kayacking.
We stayed at this property to attend a family reunion in the area. The house was as advertised, updated and clean. Beds were comfortable, nice linens, great view. There’s parking for probably 4 cars but difficult with the snow to get into the driveway
We traveled to Michigan to attend a football game at The Big House in Ann Arbor. Whitmore Lake was a cute town and close to Ann Arbor, East Lansing, and Detroit. The lake house was awesome and the view was beautiful. It was well-stocked and spacious.
I chose the property for the location of my annual business planning retreat. I wanted a quiet lakefront property with a great view while I worked and this was the perfect choice. The house was very comfortable and also modern. The view from the bedroom was great! I will absolutely be back.
We had a great visit- short, easy drive to our events in Brighton- beautiful house! Great views of the lake, clean, great amenities! Beds & bedding comfy.
The temperatures were in the 30-40, so we didn’t get to enjoy the deck but you could enjoy the lake views from indoors.
Very well stocked cottage, with new appliances and updated decor throughout. The kitchen had everything we needed. No gas grill, but we enjoyed using charcoal.
The deck was spacious, we had breakfast outside while our kids fished off the dock. Great place!!!
Looking for a get together with some friends for a long weekend. The house was exactly like the listing. Very clean and several people commented they’d live there if they could.
Communication was great. Check in and out was easy.
Thanks for a hosting
Our group of 9 enjoyed our stay at the Whitmore Lakehouse. The home was well-appointed and clean. The host provided many games that we were able to select from to enhance our trip. The views of the lake were amazing and we saw otters swimming and a fox across the lake. The only negative I would give is the lack of a tankless hot water heater. There was only enough hot water for half of our group to shower in the morning before our event, which we learned the hard way.
My husband stayed at the home, but hosted my family (12 people!) for Thanksgiving Day dinner. The home very comfortably accommodated the 8 adults playing games and watching football as well as the 4 children ranging from 2 - 12. It never felt crowded, the lay lout of the home made very part of the day smooth. The host was fantastic as well! They worked with me ahead of time to better understand what they had in their kitchen for hosting to help me plan my packing. As it turned out, they had everything I needed (very well stocked kitchen) and were willing to bring over additional stemware to ensure we had enough. We will absolutely book this spot again!
This home has been recently renovated and is beautiful. Pictures are exactly as shown. Clean and comfortable. I used the kitchen everyday. It is well stocked with everything I needed to cook. There is a Kerug machine for coffee. The owners provided k-cups and sweeteners. They even had a nice bottle of white wine for us which was greatly appreciated after a long travel day! Whitmore is a small town with a small local grocery so I used Instacart for grocery delivery. The beds are comfortable, plenty of linens and towels. There were 4 beach towels and plenty of dish and bath towels. The house is right on the water. The backyard is all composite decking (so no risk of splinters in little feet) with amazing water views and sunsets. If you have children who do not swim or are very little; make sure you bring life vests. We came prepared and thank goodness, because the 3 year old did fall off the dock trying to climb back onto the deck without help! The home does provide various adult sizes life vests only (the extra small adult fit my 9 and 11 year old).Definitely looking forward to staying here again soon!
House is exactly as pictured. We came out fromCalifornia to have thanksgiving with our Michigan student. House had all the pots and pans and dishes available for use. We had easy access in and direct communication with our property manager. The last day we were snowed in and they left a shovel available to get us out. Definitely recommend this house!
We stayed for a family event nearby. The property accomodated us well. Only negative feedback would be that when we arrived it was not shoveled and was not for the stay- we had to do this ourselves because the driveway has a steep slope and would be unsafe covered in snow and ice.
