About this property
Custom Home in a Great Location with Outdoor Hot Tub
This charming three bedroom, two bathroom custom-built timber frame home sits on an acre and is just ten miles from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. With three bedrooms and a queen size sofa sleeper, it will comfortably sleep 7 people (five privately). The kitchen comes complete with stainless steel appliances including a microwave. There is a washer and dryer for your convenience and the home is equipped with WIFI internet service and cable television. The back deck offers a peaceful scene into the woods, with a grill ready for you to BBQ. The master suite is located up it's own set of stairs and includes a queen size bed, hand-tiled bathroom, cable television, a private upper level deck, and plenty of room to relax and unwind. The second and third bedrooms are located at the top of an open-air handmade wooden spiral staircase with full and twin beds respectively, built right into the walls. Additionally, there is a soothing meditation loft beneath the skylights which can be reached from the top of a built in ladder off the second floor. There is a television and DVD player in the living area along with a woodstove, perfect for curling up on those chilly Montana nights. The home has a private eight-person hot tub and a fire pit with a fully stocked supply of wood and is situated just a block off the middle fork of the Flathead River. The home is ten miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park, and only 14 miles from Glacier International Airport in Kalispell. With easy access to Highway 2, this one-of-a-kind timber frame home is perfect for a summer vacation to Glacier National Park or Whitefish Mountain Resort, and is close to many other attractions around the Flathead Valley of Montana. This cabin is accessed via front doorway stairs, and has stairs to each bedroom, with the exception of the living area sofa sleeper. This cabin also has multiple areas that may not be safe for an unsupervised toddler, as there are ladders, and open-air lofts around the main living area.

This was our second time staying at this house. It is a very nice house with a beautiful yard and very nice hot tub. We love the close proximity to the park.
Great location. Easy drive to Glaicer entrance. Unique layout, climb steps to bathroom. Back yard was great with hot tub. Local restaurants had good food and drinks.
This property and the property manager were absolutely amazing. This had a great location and was very quiet. Easy driving distance to multiple things and a big yard for the kids to play.
Everything was perfect! The location was great, the hot tub was fabulous and the house and host were great! Will stay again if we come back. Thank you!!
This house is perfectly located in beautiful Hungry Horse. It is close to shops, diners, hiking trails and water access. The hot tub was an added bonus to relax in after long days exploring. Holly was easy to work with and very fast to respond to a few questions we had during our stay.
The cabin was even more charming and cozy than the photos! Clean, comfy, well stocked, and very unique! Warm, great hot tub, beautiful yard, perfect for campfire or just hanging out to recoup! Many amenities. Quiet neighborhood and private! Loved our stay!
We booked this cabin for part of our family to stay in during our fall wedding in Glacier, and it did not disappoint! The house is quirky and cozy, and the property is lovely and quiet. The kitchen and bathrooms aren't stocked like some other rentals we've stayed in, but that wasn't a problem at all. Definitely take advantage of the hot tub and fire pit.
Overall was very impressed with the stay. Hot tub was great and a nice accent. The beds are very stiff and it was hard to sleep comfortably on them through the night. However other than that it was a great experience.
It is our second time booking this adorable cabin! This time we brought our family to stay and the cabin had everything we needed and more! The location was perfect for us to explore GNP as it is very close to the West Park Entrance! We enjoyed several meals made in the kitchen with fresh water straight from the faucet. The hot tub was so relaxing after long days hiking and exploring! Thanks for sharing your cabin with my family, we enjoyed our stay!
The host had a very intense list of do's and don'ts for the property, with the potential of added costs to your stay - however, these were all how I would expect someone to treat the property, so it's sad to know people have abused it in the past.
The host was very responsive to any questions asked, and had lots of information at the property for things to do on the days you were not relaxing.
Had all the items needed for a stay minus toiletries, so make sure to bring your own.
Would definitely stay here again for the location and uniqueness of the property.
The house was easy to find and very clean. It was also 10 minutes away from the west entrance to Glacier so very convenient! We experienced temperatures in Glacier from 70-40 but never thought it was too cold or too warm in the house and did not need to use the mini-split or wood stove. We were also able to add an extra night very easily which was appreciated! The hot tub was amazing and the best part after some long days in the park! Definitely recommended!
The house was just as described, if you like to sleep in though (we didn’t to take full advantage of Glacier NP) take note of the windows :-) One teen loved the mini loft sitting areas. Hot tub was great to have at the end of a long day exploring. We didn’t use it but the fire pit with wood to chop was a fun amenity. Very convenient gas station located at entrance to the neighborhood too.
We loved the home, location, amenities and everything about this home. Family of 4 so each child had their own room. Master was away from the kids so we got a break too. Kitchen had eveything we needed to cook meals and saved us the hassle of eating out. There were some great places to eat nearby too. We loved the hot tub after long days of hiking and the firepit was great for sitting arou d and making s'mores. They even had bear spray and coolers in the garage. It was a perfect stay.
Nice, clean house. We had 5 adults and enjoyed the stay. Master bed slept 2 very comfortably. Small steps to master bath. Other beds weren't large enough for 2 adults so we used the pull out in family room. Very close to GNP. We were too tired from hiking to use the hot tub or very nice fire pit.
The cottage is located in a really good spot if you’re going to Glacier NP. Loved the hot tub. Everything was very clean. Two bedrooms at the top of the spiral staircase, so if you get up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, might not be ideal to sleep up there. We really enjoyed our time in Montana, it is beautiful. Disappointed that we didn’t see any of the bears that were reportedly in the area ;)
Our family of 4 adults and 2 children (ages 6 & 1) enjoyed our stay in this quiet retreat. The hot tub was great after our long hikes in the park. It felt like we were far away from everything but close enough to town to pick up food and necessities. The only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 would be the nooks. They were pretty high and did not have rails, we did not feel they were safe for adults and especially not for children. We would choose this house again for an adult only trip. Great hosts!
This is one of our favorite VRBOs! We loved it's unique look and layout. My 12 yr old daughter especially loved all of the neat nooks she could curl up in to read her book. It was very clean. The beds were comfortable, so was the living room furniture. Plenty of supplies in the kitchen. Having two bathrooms made mornings go faster. We didn't utilize the hot tub, but I can see that being fun for others. The neighborhood is nice and quiet. There's a grocery store 3 minutes away. And it's in a great location for going to Glacier National Park. Food at the Paul Bunyan Bar & Grill was good. We had a lot of fun in a rented UTV from Glacier Ridge Runners (next to the Sinclair Gas Station on Hwy 2.) I would highly recommend staying here!
We stayed here as a base for Glacier National Park. It's a little bit of a drive to the park (~15 mins), but not bad. The house is very close to a good grocery store and gas station and some restaurants. The house has a great back yard, fire pit, hot tub. The inside is quite unique. The kitchen is small, but fine. No dishwasher. The primary bedroom is somewhat separate from the rest of the house. But, it's good except you have to walk up 3 stairs to get to the bathroom. At night, it's a bit challenging with the lights off. The other 2 rooms are very small. The living room is small and limited places to sit, but overall comfortable. Overall, the house had everything you would need and we enjoyed the uniqueness. It's a good option for Glacier and We would stay there again.
We loved our stay here. It is a beautiful home with lots of character. The hot tub was great after long hikes and a whitewater rafting trip. The backyard is very private for relaxing. It was nice to put the car in a garage too. My group of 3 had plenty of space to spread out and relax. We also cooked in the kitchen, where everything necessary was provided. There’s a few minor things we noticed that could be improved upon
- For side sleepers, the mattresses were very firm
- There is a limited amount of blinds/curtains, including in the bedroom and bathrooms which is not great for privacy or light coming through.
- The exterior door to the hot tub doesn’t have a secure lock, but rather a chain which leaves a gap to the outside.
- The upstairs bedrooms are not completely walled off from the living room. This allows light and noise to come through very easily from the living room below, and from the noisy wood stairs.
- The hot tub was great, but there was a lot of chemical in it to the point my group’s skin was drying out and eyes were burning after use. Also, the rubber headrests for the hot tub was coming apart which left debris in the water.
- Our time at the rental (5 days) was interrupted by the owner coming twice and the maintenance crew once. The owner had to fix the tv channels and drop something off, one of which I think could have waited but she let us know. We did not know the maintenance crew was coming, and were surprised to see them on the property.
