My wife and I loved our stay. The bathroom was a little cramped due to my 6'2 frame. The steps leading up to the bathroom is a bit difficult to navigate at night in the dark. Unfortunately I was unable to stay due to health issues. I have severe allergies to mold and after being in the room for 10 minutes I had an asthma attack and a severe headache came on. At first it seemed cute and quaint, but after looking around for a possible source I found mold in the window unit. Once I found that I started looking around more and found the dehumidifier in the corner was full and a blinking light said it needed to be emptied. The humidity in the room was 85%, the blinds were cracked and broken and one could see in the windows from the outside if they wanted to. The toilet seat had something on it that I had to wipe off before using it. I took photos of everything except the bathroom and sent a message to my host about what I found and that I could not stay here for health reasons. We messaged back and forth and he asked for photos but would never tell me how to submit them. He asked if I wanted to stay there if they cleaned it up the next day but I told him no as the mold cannot just be wiped out. I told him that I had bought an air mattress and would be staying at my dad’s and he just quit responding after that. I would expect the room to at least be checked on the day that someone was to arrive. The pest control ticket was still in the door so they had obviously not checked on this room for a few days, and the dehumidifier that was 100 full was proof of that.
