"The rooms were very clean, and the staff was extremely friendly Really the only issue was the pool situation. The pool right on the lodge side is not open so you can swim in the local state park pool which is literally a half mile down the road. All the advertising has pictures of a nice slide that you can go down and of course we get there and the slide is not functional at all. It’s not working. And there’s paint chipping from the bottom of the pool, floating up Very dirty and very disappointing to an otherwise great experience I mean, why wouldn’t you fix your pool?? We still enjoyed the experience overall"

Peaceful historic log cabin getaway on 40 acres - NO cleaning fee!

"The property is charming and super clean. Modern amenities were appreciated. We enjoyed the quiet, all we heard were nature sounds the entire weekend. It is at least a 20 minute drive to get “near civilization” but that’s a small price to pay for peace and quiet. A lovely property that we would definitely visit again."

"Wonderful accommodations! Charming area, as well. If you arrive after dark, turn right just before the red Third Hollow Farm sign. If you plan on cooking, there are only pots and pans. Bakeware, bowls and ice were missing. There's no dishwasher and no instructions on the dishwashing. We washed them and left them to dry in the sink. There were ants, but it was raining a lot and that might have pushed them to higher ground. There are two bedrooms, two full baths and plenty of open space. The furniture is comfortable. We enjoyed going into Garrison for groceries and eating at the Short Stop (you've got to check it out - it's open 24 hours for short-order food). We plan on returning!!"

"I cannot stress enough that the description and the pictures available do not do this place justice!!! We have made a tradition of going to these types of property for our birthdays and anniversaries each year and this one by far was our favorite! Everything about it was spectacular from all the natural light and beauty of the landscape and having a hot tub in the morning before breakfast or having a fire pit at night with the available logs and the fenced in property for our dog, we could easily live in a place like this and are absolutely taking notes for when we eventually own a home together : ) 10/10 5 stars absolutely loved this place and will absolutely be planning on coming back for another visit! Thank you again for the kind and generous hosts for having this available to rent! It really is just the perfect place to relax and unwind and get away for the weekend, and our dog Petunia loved it!"
