Floating in the pool & gazing at islands in the sparkling ocean never gets old. The surroundings may be totally tranquil but the villa sits in the exclusive hillside estate of Long Bay, just a few mins drive from the white-sand beach & handful of beachfront bars & restaurants below. Remember to follow our socials @villasoftortola for all things BVI! 🛋️ LIVING AREAS: This villa feels lovely & fresh with beachy Caribbean decor lifting your mood in every room. The open-plan living room, kitchen and dining area are filled with air and sunlight and make for a very sociable space. There's plenty of comfy seating in the living area and a 40'' Smart TV (if you can bear to look away from those views). The modern kitchen is well equipped with stainless steel appliances for self-catering (including dishwasher - no one wants to be washing up on vacation!). There's a choice of indoor dining areas - a breakfast bar with high stools or a dining table for 6. 🛏️ BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS: The villa offers three bedrooms each a king bed, their own bathroom and direct access to outdoor spaces and sweeping ocean views, so no arguing over bedrooms necessary! Bedrooms 1 and 2 are upstairs in the main house and offer similarly stunning views (bedroom 1 has an ensuite bathroom, bedroom 2 has it's own bathroom accessed from the landing. They both have floor-to-ceiling glass doors which slide open onto a shared balcony the width of the house, complete with comfy lounger and sofa. The perfect morning coffee spot. The Captains Quarters (bedroom 3) is in a separate pavilion at the end of the pool deck. This bedroom is it's own little sanctuary, with huge floor-to ceiling glass doors framing the deep blue ocean and sky, & your own private outdoor shower! ☀️ OUTDOOR AREAS: The French doors in the living room open onto a wrap around deck and create a wide-open living space with covered alfresco dining table and plenty of comfortable outdoor furniture for lounging by the pool. There's a built-in propane BBQ for grilling up some local fish or lobster. The villa's tranquil surroundings offer peace and quiet to read a book on the deck, enjoy a cocktail, or fall asleep to the majestic view of the Atlantic. The turquoise pool just begs you to take a dip - unwinding has never been so easy. There is also a magnificent wall to the back of the villa with local planting of shrubs and flowers. If you’re feeling energetic there’s Long Bay Beach Resort’s Tennis and Pickleball courts. A day pass will buy you hours of fun! And a trip to the spa will relax you completely. LETTSOME AIRPORT (EIS) (50 MIN DRIVE) is on Beef Island in the East End of Tortola (connected by bridge). It’s the only airport on Tortola and where you'll fly into. ⛴️ WEST END FERRY HARBOUR (10 MIN DRIVE) The closest place to catch a ferry to connect you to the US Virgin Islands (St Thomas & St John) and fellow BVI Jost Van Dyke 🚗 Although there are ferries to connect you to other islands, the public transport in Tortola is basically non-existent and there’s so much to go and see but taxis add up quickly. Tortola is only 12 miles long by 3 miles at its widest, but it’s a mountainous island and the roads can be quite rugged. Located on the hill overlooking Long Bay, this villa had everything we needed for a relaxing and fun vacation. We especially loved the spectacular deck with its comfortable furniture for coffee/breakfast in the morning, cocktails in the evening, and stargazing at night. Our family stayed at Coastin Along in July. We have two adult kids and we all had a great time visiting Tortola. Right from the booking, Sam and Louisa were so helpful with emails about suggested boat charters and ferry information for island hopping. We rented a Jeep and upon arrival to the airport Sam was there to meet us which was awesome. Louisa met us and led us to the property and that was so helpful. We loved being able to order groceries to the house and ventured out to dinner a couple of. nights. We all loved the terrain of Tortola and just the casual relaxed atmosphere. It was very clean and well appointed. We really enjoyed our stay, except for a very stressful arrival, and an apparent lack of concern by the property manager Sam. When I reserved the villa earlier this year I was unsure how many family members would join us. I was pretty sure there would be 5 adults, but maybe as many as 8, at least for part of the time. We chose this villa because of its appearance, comfortable layout, and spectacular views. We realized that there were only 3 bedrooms with king beds, but it looked like there was a large couch and plenty of room for an extra person if needed. The listing says "sleeps 7." There is nothing about a maximum of 6 people, yet that is what Sam told me after 5 of us arrived and I mentioned that 2 more would be joining us that night. She said that would not be possible because there was a strict policy of 6 people maximum. I explained that my sister was flying in that night and would have no place to stay. She was inflexible and said that she would check on other places. She called back later and said that everywhere she checked was fully booked. She was still unwilling to accommodate, said we would just have to find something, and never called back to check. Fortunately, my son was finally able to book a room at Nanny Cay. This, of course, was quite inconvenient and an additional expense. Sam did not seem to care. ##### Harvey R. The entire process from booking through checking out was super easy. Our host lined up transportation from the airport to the front door where the fun began. The house had everything we needed for our stay and our views from the porches and pool were fabulous. My wife and I traveled with 2 other couples so everyone had their own space and the beds were very comfy. My wife and I stayed in the guest house suite and we loved the outdoor shower as well as the views out of the 3 walls of glass that surround the king size bed. We’ve traveled all over the world and this trip is definitely in our top 3 which means we will be back for sure! We hated to leave but knew we’d return and we can’t wait to do so! What Sam, the property manager, and her staff did prior to our arrival and during our stay was fantastic. From the initial pick up at the ferry by taxi driver Eric, to the welcoming tour of the villa by Pinky and getting our grocery order stowed away, to the very accommodating people of Jerry’s Car Rental, all made this trip a memorable one. I also need to mention the house keeping that took place while we were there. Amazing. So unexpected. So, obviously, my husband and I loved the villa and the location is fantastic. So many great restaurants within a short drive. The villa is so comfortable and there are many areas for sitting and enjoying the spectacular views. Must mention that it was a bit daunting the first few times driving up and down the roads from the home in our rental car, but my husband gained confidence with every outing. It was the perfect spot to relax! The property is stunning and has the most incredible views out over the ocean. The pool is lovely taking full advantage of the amazing views, the beds all huge and super comfy and the kitchen was fully equipped. The sofa on the upstairs balcony was the perfect place to relax and read a book. The property managers quickly responded to all of our questions and were really helpful. We appreciated having a hire car so we could visit some of the local beaches and buy our groceries. Tom snorkelled at Long Bay and was lucky enough to see a nurse shark!
