The bathroom was redone in 2021\. It is fully tiled, crisp, and clean. The outdoor shower was completely rebuilt in 2022 and a new LG washer and dryer were installed in 2022\. There is a mahogany entertaining deck with outdoor shower area on the deck. Landscaping has been upgraded with a new lawn and irrigation system. The house interior design continues to be updated each year with new additions. This truly is a unique beach house in an exclusive and quiet location - the quintessential summer cottage down the sandy lane. Located just a few miles from the town center and within walking distance of both the Oyster River and Hardings Beach. We now offer a Sunday to Sunday rental schedule. Avoid the hectic Saturday turnover traffic and miss the 5-mile bridge back-ups. We stayed with our toddler and infant. We loved the layout with the kitchen open to the living room and the patio / back yard easy access from the living room. The yard was beautifully landscaped and the kids had a blast running around. Inside was adorable, and we lucked out and found a stool in one of the closets for the kids to use in the bathroom (this was a big deal!). After seeing the outside shower, my kids now think showers are cool (big win for mom). Location was a very short drive to the beach. We could have walked if it had been adults or adults and teens. The deck was nice for relaxing on after a day at the beach and the side yard was great for our boys to play in. The house is located on a secluded road with very few cars traveling on it throughout the day. A quick drive to all, a minute or two to the beach and downtown Chatham. Sitting on the lovely deck, it was peaceful and quiet. Each day brought interesting visitors - a beautiful fox, a wild turkey and her babies, humming birds and a very friendly and curious catbird. The house itself was clean and comfortable and we had plenty of space. Having a washer/dryer was extremely helpful. We loved the town of Chatham and the cottage was close to everything. The house was well equipped and comfortable with a great beachy feel. There was plenty of room for our family of 5\. The kids had fun in the yard and riding bikes up and down the street.
