Getting Around: While a car is recommended, public transportation is available. A bus route provides access to Government Camp and Timberline Lodge, with a walk of approximately one mile to the property. Other Things to Note: \- The Chalet does not have A/C (air conditioning), but we do have multiple box fans and ceiling fan to circulate air. \- During the winter there is a possibility of snow. 4x4 and higher clearance vehicles are recommended. The steps and pathway to the river were fun and beautiful. We sat on the rocks and put our feet in the cold water! Since we were in town for a long trail race at Mt Hood. The hot tub was crucial recovery afterward. Towels were provided and easy instructions to clean the tub afterward. We were able to grill a nice dinner and eat on the porch and listen to the river rushing. So peaceful. The kitchen had everything we needed. Beds were comfortable and fans were provided in each room for cool air flow at night. The kids enjoyed the ping pong table, and it was helpful to have laundry availability. Close to many hikes and bike trails. Just 30 min drive from Timberline Lodge. Was great to have the garage for bike and board storage and many hours spent playing ping pong ! Very easy to access off the highway but private location with beautiful views off the deck. The kids enjoyed playing by the river each day - close walk down the path.
