It is basically someone's basement so yes you will hear their dogs upstairs but they do have quiet times so it really shouldn't bother you much. We stayed 2 nights in order to attend a family wedding. We initially were not going to attend due to the travel distance from home and the expense of paying for a place to stay. Main drawback was the shared Space with the upstairs. They entire stay there was a strong smell of marijuana each time we returned to the rental. Also, the dryer was full of linens when we arrived and there was only 5 small creamers for our 10 day stay. ##### Dewey B. This unit listed two queen beds. Once we arrived, I looked for the second bed. Pulled cushions out from couch, thinking it was a pull out, and was covered in popcorn, coins, crumbs. Also, to be noted, a strong smell of weed greets you when entering the unit. I contacted Brandon regarding the fact the unit was not as advertised. He wanted proof from me. I also had to do quite a bit of work myself to receive a full refund. Brandon was responsive, but he asked me to contact VRBO. So I basically had to do the work. ##### Christie H. It is newly remodeled & decorated. It’s clean, feels fresh. The couch and bed are comfortable. Appliances are new and functional. The bathroom is a nice size. Location is very rural but still only 15 min from downtown Asheville. There is a dog in the main residence upstairs; it barks more than we would have liked but wasn’t a major issue. We appreciated the touches provided like plenty of dishes and glasses, oatmeal and coffee provided, and an air mattress available. Brandon is very responsive - appreciated! Check out process is very simple. To take this from 4 stars to 5, here are some suggestions (especially for those staying longer than a day or two): - chairs and a lighter so you can actually use the fire pit (wood was provided) - ice trays (it gets very old not having ice) - more than 4 forks and 3 spoons (we were constantly hand washing) - a set of plastic hangers (currently just a few, mostly bent and flimsy wire hangers) - Kleenex Thanks! ##### WHITNEY C.
