Excellent quiet getaway to relax; very kind host
This is a wonderful choice. Close enough to I 40 but secluded. Even though we arrived late due to work, Denise came out to say hello and give us a quick tour. It was just cool enough that after a quick hot tub soak, we used the wood stove to get cozy. We would go again and it was perfect for the 1 night reprieve that we planned.

Fresh Air Full Moon
First time VRBO guest and I was nervous especially before seeing the rental and meeting the friendly, helpful host, Denise. The wood stove and dartboard were delightful amenities I did not anticipate. All of us enjoyed the hot tub especially soaking in the beautiful views of the full moon. The space was adorably decorated and more than delivered in adding to our perfect weekend!

Perfect lil getaway. Away from it all.
This bottom floor cabin is quite amazing. Denise and Larry thought of everything, every little detail. It was very relaxing being able to jump right in as the place was spotless!! (& I'm a little OCD about cleanliness). Clean and comfy sheets. The towels had a clean and refreshing smell too. It was really nice! It felt like a home away from home especially being able to have our two small dogs join us. I would strongly recommend this perfect lil cabin!! We didn't get an opportunity to check out the hot tub this visit. Hope to return again soon. Thank you super hosts for sharing your home with us.

Great little getaway!
This stay was great all throughout our visit. Accommodations were exactly as we expected. Beautiful place to relax and unwind. Close to all of the attractions we wanted to see. Denise and Larry are great people and very attentive to our needs. Dog friendly as well! We highly recommend and consider coming back! Thank you!

Loved the coziness of the wood stove and hot tub. Comfortable bed, easy check out. Kitchen is best for takeout and preparing light meals, overall a very nice and relaxing getaway.

Perfect!
We went snowboarding for the weekend at Cataloochee and our stay was perfect! Denise was so kind and accommodating, and her cabin was beautiful! It even snowed overnight which was an awesome surprise to wake up to. She had everything we needed, it was very clean, at the hot tub was super nice. We will definitely be staying again when we come back to town!

Warm getaway
This is a very cozy and clean place for a quiet gateway. My husband and I visited the cabin for our wedding anniversary and checked in very late at night due to snowy roads and weather. Denise was very sweet to stay awake to make sure we reached safely and were comfortable. They also had a surprise cake for our anniversary which was very sweet. The cabin was very clean and warm. It was a perfect location for a small destination wedding with the brides family upstairs and the groom's downstairs with all the small children. The kitchen was awesome with two of everything! The views were great. Gatlinburg was crazy busy though, so avoided going into town.

Lovely place. Used the wood stove and hot tub. Easy to access and owners easy to communicate with. Very private. The description of property says thay are pet friendly but please note they do not allow CATS.

Amazing mountain getaway
My friend and I absolutely loved our stay here. We wanted a weekend trip away from our respective cities (Durham and Atlanta) and found this to be the perfect spot in terms of equal travel time for both of us, proximity to good hiking spots/nature, and extremely cozy accommodations. The cabin was beautifully furnished and very well maintained - hot tub was a great bonus as well. Denise was an amazing, attentive host and was able to help us out with everything we had questions about. I definitely plan on coming back again!

Friendly host and cute place!
The hosts were so friendly. They even gave us a cup of milk to use for our toddler to help us avoid making the drive to the store. The place is super cute and has everything you need for your stay. The only thing I will say is that this is not a “baby/toddler friendly” apartment. Lots of things in my toddlers reach that I had to put up, including some fire tools and such. Regardless, this is the perfect getaway for a couple or family with older kids. (:

Amazing vacation at the Blue ridge mountains
We had an amazing summer break at the mountains for 6 days early August. The house is great and has everything you need to enjoy your visit. Both Larry and Denise are very kind, helpful and take care of any issues. I highly recommend this house and will be back for sure.

I was disappointed you didn’t have the opportunity to simply walk to the back of the cabin where there are spectacular views of some of the National Park’s most impressive 5000 foot+ peaks. As you know, the cabin is surrounded by old growth forest, so you have to know where the best mountain vistas are located.

We had a great weekend getaway staying here. The place is clean and very charming. With construction, it takes a little longer to get to the ski area, but it's not too bad. The hosts are very thoughtful and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!

Fortunately, all road work has concluded until next winter and all of the roads surrounding our property are now open. It’s just a 20 minute drive to both the National Park and Waynesville. Road work makes the trip to Cataloochee and Maggie Valley longer than expected, but that’s not the host’s fault. They live on the main floor and were quick to welcome us and offered some excellent suggestions about local restaurants and other things. Their place was spotless and thoughtfully supplied.

Thankfully, the roadwork has concluded for the next several months, and all of our roads are open. Cataloochee and Maggie Valley are again just 20 minutes away.
