Beautiful historical Inn! Great location for dinning and shopping downtown. The house does need several repairs outdoors and I’m need of severe pressure washing and deck cleaning and repainting.

Historic property with a unique atmosphere, but guests should be prepared for a fully remote experience. There is no reception desk or staff on-site; entry and communication are handled through a remote hosting center by phone, with digital door codes provided for the room. We stayed upstairs in the Molly Room, which felt quite isolated. The air conditioning was very cold and could not be adjusted by guests. There was also no television in the room, so plan accordingly if that is important to you. One concern was that after a bad cut, there was no emergency or first-aid kit available on-site. The remote attendant was kind and we were told Band-Aids could be found below the coffee station desk. The property has character, but additional on-site safety supplies, climate control, and clearer expectations about the remote-hosting setup would improve the guest experience.

The Herren House is historic and meets all of the charm of a house that old. The location was absolutely perfect to walk to town for shopping and meals. It was very clean but dated. The check-in was seamless, automated, but impersonal. The room was spacious but chilly. Additional blankets and a rug or drapes to close would add to the warmth. I'd stay there again but plan on the chilly room better.

Always enjoy staying here due to proximity to the town and ample parking. We did run into problems with WiFi , staff attempted to resolve quickly. Toiletries and towels provided. Coffee available.

Parking access was easy. The house is just a short walk to restaurants, breweries, shopping, and a great bookstore ( eg. Wall Street bookstore) The house has a great porch and garden to sit in too. The staff were very responsive and helpful.
