Welcome to Mabel's Place, one half of our Mabel and Minnie’s Place duplex vacation rental home located in charming downtown Waynesville, North Carolina. This newly renovated historic property has two private halves, Minnie’s Place and Mabel’s Place offering the perfect blend of space, comfort and walkability downtown, just in time for your mountain getaway. This duplex property is great for individual families or can be rented together for larger groups, making both halves a great option for reunions or vacations with friends.
The 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath Mabel’s Place, sleeps 6 and has one primary queen bedroom with primary full bath ensuite on the main floor while on the upper floor are two queen bedrooms and full guest bath. A guest half bath is located on the main living space floor. The large open living area with its overstuffed couch and loveseat features a large screen Fire TV perfect for streaming and logging into your own favorite apps. A formal dining table and full kitchen with brand new appliances, plus laundry closet with washer/dryer rounds out the main floor living space. Upstairs you will also find a loft sitting area complete with foosball table.
For those of you wishing to dine alfresco and enjoy the sights and sounds of Waynesville, there is an outdoor dining area on the entrance porch as well as rockers to take in the cool mountain air at night. Bonus! To the rear of this property is a large brick patio with picnic tables and charcoal park grill for the BBQ chefs in your group. High speed internet and Wi-Fi complete the package.
Should you need more space, if you rent Minnie’s Place along Mabel’s Place for the same dates, a discount can be applied. You must contact Maggie Mountain Vacations directly for those types of reservations.
Please note this property is not dog friendly. Unauthorized pets on property will incur a $300 per pet penalty. No cats or other types of pets are allowed.
In addition to all that this vacation home has to offer, Mabel’s Place is situated in an exceptionally convenient location, right in the middle of downtown Waynesville, steps from some of the best restaurants and breweries in town, and just a short distance from the Waynesville Inn and Golf and historic Hazelwood – home of the Hazelwood Soap Company. Take a leisurely stroll downtown while enjoying the historic buildings and the stunning mountain vistas that surround the entire area.
If you’re coming for a long weekend to visit the famed Biltmore Estate, it’s only 35 minutes away. If you’re staying in town and exploring Maggie Valley, you can visit Wheels Through Time Transportation Museum or go skiing at Cataloochee Ski Area or snow tubing at Tube World during the winter months. If you’re staying for a week (or longer!) to take in the multitude of outdoor activities the area has to offer, this home will not disappoint.
Located less than 20 minutes to downtown Maggie Valley, just a few short steps to downtown Waynesville, and only a few miles to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, this home is the perfect hub for your family and friends! With connectivity to I-40 a quick trip to Asheville will be in the cards or visit the quaint little towns of the region – all an easy drive away.
