Sugar Creek Cabin w/ Nordic spa bordering 2 state parks!

  • Authentic western cedar log cabin surrounded by 6000 acres of old growth forest in every direction! The location is spectacular. You can walk right off of the driveway into Shades State Park and Pine Hills Nature Preserve or take a 10 minute drive to Turkey Run State Park! The area is known as the covered bridge capital of the US with 33 covered bridges within an 18 minute drive. There is a Nordic Spa on site that includes unlimited use of the Saunas, Hot tub, Cold plunge, relax pool and the massage chairs.

An excellent choice for a getaway with family. The outdoor amenities were exceptional, from the fire pit to the pool and spas, seating areas, and relaxing in nature. The location was perfect for easy access to beautiful Shades State Park. The kitchen was small for 10 people but adequately stocked. The gaucho grille was not appropriate for our needs: difficult to manage the heat and the grille surface does not work for burgers, etc. A conventional gas, propane, or charcoal grill would provide more flexibility. Owner communication was very good before and during occupancy, with prompt responses. Overall, it was a very positive experience for our family.

This property was great for a multi-generational weekend getaway. We loved the pool and hot tub and enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. I cannot recommend this location and hosts enough.

Loved the remote location! Everyone took full advantage of the pool, hot tub, massage chairs, and sauna. The grill was very cool, we've nicer cooked on something like that before. We enjoyed the fire pit and view of the stars as well. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a perfect location for outdoor activities. You can walk to Shades and Pine Hills nature preserve. There is everything you need even though we had unexpected SNOW we enjoyed the retreat!
