Andrew provides a comprehensive welcome document to ensure you are aware of guest expectation but also neat insights. I would recommend bring your own toiletries and extra paper towels. This property and host was my favorite VRBO rental ever. The host was flexible, kind, and responsive. The property was AMAZING, and the lodge had every detail perfect for comfortable enjoyment of nature. Highlights included watching birds and deer at the feeders, walking the trails, watching sunrises and snow fall from the comfy furniture on the covered porch, reading by the fire, kayaking, moving from snow to sauna, playing games in the hut, and quality and affordable dinner at the supper club. The kitchen was well stocked with things most rentals overlook. Comfy beds. Sad we could only stay 2 nights. We plan to return in summer! Thank you for an amazing stay!!!!!! ##### Kimberly G. Owners have thought of everything, with little touches all over the place (seating by creek on trails, buckets to carry wood, life jackets for the boats, etc.). Offering the wood for purchase (honor system) was also a great perk. We caught many fish at the lake, saw all kinds of interesting animals (giant turtle, woodpeckers, owl). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cabin is very nice and very well stocked. The surroundings are great and dogs as well as humans had fun exploring. And we definitely took advantage of having access to the lake, canoe, kayaks. My family really enjoyed the peace and tranquility. They also enjoyed watching the wild life. The lake if very low and did not see any fish. We absolutely loved our mini vacation! Got out of the craziness and right into tranquility! Beautiful log home with hiking trails and a great little beach. We even went canoeing which is something we haven’t done since high school church youth group trips. Yep, I’m still kinda sore😉. The weather was perfect and so was our stay at BlackBerry Lodge. Everything was so organized and stocked in the cabin. Lake is perfect for small children and/or pets. It has a sandy bottom that is very shallow for quite a while before you get into deeper water. Our group vacationed at this wonderful property to celebrate a 50th birthday. We had the BEST time. From taking walks on the incredible property, to relaxing in the sauna after a long, beautiful day, you cannot go wrong! It was a sweet relief from hectic busy days. This was it. A sweet cozy log cabin, a stream, a lake and lots of trails. Foosball and darts on rainy days, and a large covered porch with a comfy couch was perfect. Solidly built cabin, nicely decorated with quality furnishings. It was nice to have access to the kayaks, canoe and paddle boat too. ##### Kari A. Our family of five (three kids and our dog) enjoyed a long weekend at Blackberry Lodge, and it was great. It’s rare to find a place that offers everything this lodge does – privacy, seclusion in the woods, a lake for fishing and swimming, pet-friendly accommodations, and a beautifully furnished cabin. We spent our days playing cornhole, kayaking, swimming, paddleboarding, and canoeing. The Weber grill and cozy porch area were big highlights for us. We briefly used the sauna, but think this would be a great highlight in the fall and winter. This property truly has everything you need to relax and disconnect! ##### Melissa T. The owner of the property has truly thought of every detail. The house was stunning and we spent much time sitting out on the wrap around porch drinking our coffee in the mornings and down at the lake fishing, utilizing the kayaks, paddle boards, and other water craft and watching the kids play in the sand. We loved how the water was relatively shallow for quite a ways out before getting deeper. This was perfect for our young children and for the dogs. We enjoyed having our morning coffee or an evening drink on the covered deck listening to the birds and wildlife. The walk to the lake was a little difficult for a few of the people but they are seniors and have problems walking anyways but they made it and enjoyed the lake. The cabin has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Andrew the host is very nice and accommodating. Great location for a weekend away from home for our family of 5 with 3 elementary school aged kids and the dog as well. Cabin felt very tucked away and secluded in nature with no signs of any neighbors from the cabin, yet only a 10 minute drive to town with easy access to groceries or restaurants if desired. The wooded property had a beautiful autumnal appearance and we took advantage of the kayaks and paddleboats, but we'd love to come back in the summer to actually go for a swim in the shallow, clear lake. The place was definitely as described and as pictured. We had no issues throughout our stay, however, I can say that the host Andrew was great with communication quickly responding to texts as we prepared for the stay and welcoming us/checking in once we arrived.
