Creekside Cottage is also adjacent to a county park with no overnight camping but features a play area for kids. No other cabins or homes within sight. Pros: Cabin was clean. Kitchen was well-stocked with pots/pans/essentials. Towels and linens smelled fresh. Hot tub was a nice extra. Very secluded area. Furniture, blankets, etc were very cozy. Winter/weather limited our ability to get out and explore nearby trails. Communication with the property manager was prompt and professional. Cons: The master bed is atrocious. Saggy, uneven, old and creaky would accurately describe the mattress. The upstairs twin beds were much better. The motion lights outside are very sensitive and went off continuously during the night, the light shone directly into the master. There is quite a bit of excess lumber and scraps around the property. I'd also recommend getting there during daylight to fully see the property, as it is quite remote and very dark after the sun goes down. There is no yard light. You are 30 minutes away from the nearest grocery store and restaurant, so it is quiet and serene there. The creek just adds to it. The cabin has everything you need except the food. We received our code to get into the cabin the day of, just like it states. We stayed for my husband’s 40th birthday to go hiking and to come back after a long day of hiking to a jacuzzi was very nice. The wood-burning fireplace made the whole place feel cozy and warm. We spent some quality time cooking together in the kitchen and spent lots time in the hot tub that was perfect for an outdoor activity in the winter months.
