Welcome to Lot 1028 – Your Lake Kampeska Getaway! Built in 1979 and thoughtfully renovated in 2016, this cozy, single-story cabin offers all the charm of a lake retreat with the comforts of home. Nestled on a flat, 100-foot-wide lot, there’s plenty of space to relax, play, and take in the stunning views of Lake Kampeska. The cabin features 850 sq. ft. of updated living space, including a fully-equipped kitchen, bright sunroom, inviting living room, and stylish shiplap and vinyl plank flooring throughout. With 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, it comfortably sleeps 5 guests—with approval, we can accommodate up to 8. Sleeping Arrangements: • Primary Bedroom: Queen bed with extra room for a portable crib. • Second Bedroom: Twin-over-full bunk bed with space for a pack-n-play or portable crib. • A pack-n-play is available upon request. For additional guests, you’re welcome to bring an air mattress or sleeping bags—just let us know. (We provide an air pump!) Inside Amenities: • Fully stocked kitchen with concrete countertops, stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, and cooking essentials • Dining area with seating for 5-6 • Washer and dryer for guest use • Full bathroom with a walk-in shower, single sink, concrete countertop, rustic galvanized steel wainscoting, and plenty of towels (bath & beach) Stay Connected: Free, secure WiFi is available throughout the cabin. Known for its scenic shoreline (13.5 miles!) and artistic inspiration, it’s a hub for year-round outdoor fun—boating, fishing, biking, swimming, ice fishing, and more. The lake is home to two state parks (Sandy Shores & Memorial Park) and one city park, plus over 15 miles of bike trails. You’ll also find two great golf courses nearby: Prairie Winds and Cattail Crossing. Nice cabin is well maintained and has everything we need. For an October stay the garage is a blessing. It is not however, suitable for infants and toddlers. There is no place to play in the water, as there are too many rocks on the beach, it is not sandy. The steps down to the dock were taken apart or separated and my elderly mother-in-law did not feel safe walking down them. We feel that the home itself was not the right pick for a family with young children. Also, is not suitable for toddlers to sleep either because they are too little for bunkbeds and too uncomfortable in a pack and play. Speaking of uncomfortable, there is no air conditioning in the bedrooms, only in the kitchen. they did not have a proper highchair, and the booster seat they said they had would not fit the chairs at the kitchen table. The infant high chair was dirty and gross. It is not ideal to dock your boat at this location. There is no fenced in yard for pets. It is very close to the main road which was not shown in the pictures. They limited the amenities to make you buy things like garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper and laundry detergent which I think should be included in your stay. The owner was very nice and pleasant. We received a gift basket but could not use many of the items in it. I would omit that. Again, we just figured this property was not right for our family with our one-year-old and 2 1/2-year-old. It’s a great property for other people and the owner was wonderful to work with. ##### Wendy B.
