Great quiet location

Quiet location, half a block away from the bus. Nearby to shops and a short ride to the middle of the city. Enjoyed the nice squishy bed after a long day of walking!

W enjoyed our time here. The bed was very comfortable and the place was clean and spacious. Kitchen was fully stocked. Hosts were responsive and helpful. Our one problem was that it was a little over a 10min walk to metro. Would stay again!

Excellent, clean, easy walk to metro

We loved staying here! It was comfortable and super clean, very welcoming, easy process, and our hosts were lovely. It isn’t in the main area of DC which was just fine for our weekend, we used the metro everyday and didn’t need to use our car. Coffee shops and a few restaurants around the corner, and they even had guide books we could use. We will definately stay again.

Simple and quiet place

Lovely stay with access to most amenities. It is a basement so if that's an issue look elsewhere, but for us it was perfect. Super clean, comfortable, and well with the price. Oh also parking is included. Highly recommend across the board.

The perfect Vacation

Stayed for 5days in Washington DC and the whole experience was perfect. The area property was located was quiet and lovely but plenty to do. The property itself was a self contained basement flat and it was CLASS. Thank you once again 10 mins to the tube Greenland with links at Gallery PI and L'Enfants for rest of Capital Enjoy we did

Great stay.

Great stay. Pretty much matches the description. Bed was comfortable. Water was hot. Kitchen accommodated all needs. Large bathroom. Literally the only complaint was the flies out front in the patio area. Didn’t bother me much but did my husband. We sat out there with music and a drink. Nice table area.

Beautiful and Accessible

Precious little too say about how this could be improved. The parking was easy, the entrance was easy. The accommodations were remarkable and the price was outstanding. The bus stop was about 150 feet away and the metro was a nice 10 minute walk. Life was good there!

Well equipped for two. Easy to walk to restaurants in a clean tree lined gentrified neighborhood. No outside sitting. All was quiet upstairs by 9-30. Great time for seniors getting up for museums. Overall we were very satisfied.

I liked everything about the property except the noise from upstairs. The first night was very quiet, but on both weekend nights the conversation and laughter kept me awake, so I am uncertain if I would return. I visit my daughter often and because her home is so small, I often get a rental.

Classy basement apartment in Petworth

My wife and I were very pleased with the accommodations. The apartment is a nice size for two, includes a full, well stocked kitchen, living area and nice bed / full bath combo. Street parking appeared to be free and available although we didn't need it. There are great restaurants a short walk away. The metro is a 10-15 minute walk but through some areas where there are people wandering the streets at all hours. I wouldn't recommend making the trip in the dark. All in all, we would stay here again. Thanks Eugene!!

Excellent location in Petworth

This property perfectly suited us. This was a new listing without previous reviews when we booked it but is was so close to the relatives we were visiting that we took a chance. We were glad we did and in fact extended our stay twice. Unlike many other basement apartments in this neighborhood, it has a front entrance which was well lighted. The apartment was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was very well supplied not only with appliances and utensils but also such things as coffee and creamer. The owners, who live upstairs, were very responsive throughout our visit. Suffice it to say we would happily stay here again on our next visit to Petworth.

It’s a cute little place. I’m not a fan of basements, but it was actually pretty nice. There were cute little eating places nearby. I was in town to move my daughter, so I didn’t get to explore like I would have liked. It was in the area I needed to be in and parking was very busy. The GPS didn’t take me to the right place. I wasn’t able to reach the host and she never reached back out. I was disappointed with that. Overall, it was good and I’d stay there again if needed.

My son and i had a great 1st time in D.C. i was a little hesitate about staying in a basement apartment because i thought it would be weird but it was just like staying in any other apartment. I never seen the owners but had their number if we needed anything (we didnt). We had our own entrance. The appartment was cute and clean. I may have heard them for a MAX total of 15-20 minutes a day but i feel like they were very respectful of their noise and didnt bother us one bit. We live in G.A. my son (11yrs old) and i traveled alone and i felt a little more secure knowing there were people upstairs. The lyft drivers arrived within 10 minutes everytime. The neighborhood was nice. The man across the street even introduced himself to me lol. It is stated there isnt any smoking on the premise which i respected, i smoked in my car. Parking was never an issue and it was right in front of the house. 10/10 would stay again.
