This completely renovated turn of the century rowhome offers high speed WiFi, a workspace, private deck, fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, and full-size washer and dryer. There are three bedrooms: one has a king bed and two have queen beds. Two bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, with a third full bathroom in the hall directly across from the other bedroom. This gorgeous rowhome was built in 1900 and has been completely renovated to include all the comforts of modern living. The main level boasts a fully-equipped gourmet kitchen, a private deck, a large, open living and dining area, a light and bright workspace, full-size washer and dryer, and a half bathroom. Upstairs you\`ll find three spacious bedrooms, two with en suite bathrooms, and a third full bathroom. I live in the lower level unit (completely separate, with its own entrance), should you need anything at all during your stay. You might see me walking in, but will give you your space with a nice hello! Stroll down tree-lined streets to one of the many nearby coffee shops, eateries, or watering holes. There are two nearby Metro stops: Shaw-Howard U (Green and Yellow Lines) is two blocks away and NoMa-Galludet U (Red Line) is four blocks away. There is also a bus stop in the same block and a Capital Bikeshare station in the next block. Fireplaces are decorative only. • Guests located within a 50-mile radius of Washington, D.C. require pre-approval before booking. Reservation made without pre-approval will be subject to cancellation per guest\`s Cancellation Policy. • No parties, pre-games, or events. Visitors are limited to one to two close friends or family members. • DC Noise Ordinance: Quiet hours are in effect from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM Monday to Sunday. It\`s the law! • Speakers are prohibited from being used to play loud music at any time, including outdoors. • Shoes are not permitted inside the house. • Indoor smoking is prohibited; a fine of $300 per night will be imposed. • Additional overnight guests beyond the reservation will incur a fee of $30 per person per night. • Unauthorized late checkouts past 11:00 AM will incur a fee of $100 per extra hour to cover the cost of cleaning delay. • Any mess left behind that requires a deep cleaning will result in a fee of $200 to cover the cost of additional cleaning. ## Property amenities ### Internet - We loved that the living room had enough sofa/chairs to provide everyone a comfy spot. Not a negative, a suggestion: add some grab-bars and anti-slide features to the bath tubs. Having spent part of our vacation squeezed into a hotel room, we greatly appreciated having enough space and bathrooms for all of us to recharge separately. The portable air conditioners throughout the home made the temperature comfortable. We used public transportation during our stay, readily accessed via bus (just 1-2 minutes) or metro (10 minutes). The main street was occasionally a little noisy, but it wasn't disruptive to my children's ability to sleep. The owner was very quick with all communication, which I greatly appreciated. The house is on a fairly busy road and the noise can be an issue in the front bedroom but it’s much quieter at the rear. In general the house was really good but could benefit from a few minor bits of sorting out - the blinds in one of the bedrooms don’t extend all the way down, there are a few bits of decoration needed (gaps between tiles in a bathroom etc) and there was a leaky window which let in rain during a storm. The host/manager was very responsive and helped sort out the problems as far as he could. Beds were very comfy and the kitchen was is well equipped. The area is up and coming, which makes it really interesting but like in a lot of the city you need to be sensible at night. ##### Michael E. Broken tiles and door handles, lightbulbs out and very large insects (cockroaches). Nicer furniture and some attention to detail would vastly improve this property. Many bathrooms This town house provides a nice base for us to visit relatives in DC. It is very clean and nicely finished, recently remodeled. It had 4 bathrooms & 3 bedrooms. Kitchen nicely furnished, though we did not use it much. Good WiFi. We were able to park on the street with no problem, moving the car across the street from 4-630pm if we were home at that time. In addition he leaves signs warning people to be quiet and watch your footsteps as it disturbs him, and to only leave the AC on 73 degrees. Leaves you walking on eggshells from the beginning. The upstairs bathroom flooded in the 2nd week of our stay, my family on the day of my wedding had to emergency relocate to a hotel. Not only that, the owner felt it was ok to demand answers from me on my wedding day. I would absolutely recommend NOT staying here.
