Excellent front desk staff, welcome drinks at the bar is a nice touch. Rooms were spacious with great beds, quiet, so perfect! Ambassy neighborhood close du DuPont Circle, safe, Farmer’s Market on Sunday morning, subway is very convenient to go to Smithonians or others. Would highly recommend!
From beginning to end it was truly comforting. We stayed 2 nights, with a dog and a toddler. Everything was clean, beds were comfy, the staff was super accommodating and sweet. A good 25 min walk from the white house. Loved staying here, I would definitely visit again.

3 rooms for 6 adults 4 nights. The rooms were presented as an awesome experience - the reality - not so much. I changed one room after 2 nights of extreme noise created by the employees - alley below one side of hotel is used for smoke breaks and it was notable within the rooms on that side of smoke smell. Employees using the garbage/cardboard compactor in the middle of the night. This could be modified with better windows
Rooms were not clean - actually took pictures to the front desk of built up shower mold
Carpets were way too old and rugs were strategically placed over stains on said carpets.
Bathrooms were inadequate - zero vents and steam had no place to go - shower walls yellow with build up. Space in bathroom and showers not used effectively to allow for placement of personal toiletries.
Kitchenette provided silverware plates bowls coffee cups etc. yet zero dish soap to clean up
Rooms that had closet had poor lighting
The ability to walk to great restaurants was a positive, the guys handling the valley parking were awesome. Fast and kind.
The restaurant food in the hotel was delicious
The front desk has excellent long time employees but you can tell the new employees are complacent and can’t wait to clock out.
I do not recommend this hotel and will not stay there again.
Staff was outstanding, very helpful and accommodating.

We loved our stay at the Lyle. It’s close to the Metro making getting around easy. Our meals at the restaurant were delicious and when we wanted to eat out, there are so many choices and walkable. Our room was small but fine with a comfortable bed and pillows and nice linens. We would definitely stay again!

Loved the DuPont Circle neighborhood. It was quiet and quaint and close to the Metro. The staff at the Lyle were very friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and we loved staying here!
I only have good things to say!
The stay was incredible. Staff was so friendly, hotel was very clean, restaurant and bar were great! Would definitely stay there again.
My sister and I loved our stay at Lyle! I don't leave many reviews, but we had such a great experience that I felt compelled. Every single staff member was exceptionally warm and welcoming, the design of the hotel is unmatched and the neighborhood is quiet, seemingly tucked away whilst being in the middle of everything. I'll definitely be staying here on our next visit.
Filthy rooms. Stained carpet throughout the rooms and halls. One style furniture, chipped, and mangled furniture for lighting. Just awful. Such a deal for $500 a night.
Bad breakfast. Tasteless coffee. Unripe fruit. Burned toast.
Lackadaisical service.
Would never stay here again.
This is definitely not a four star hotel. It’s maybe a two star hotel. A good day.
Very nice boutique hotel. The rooms are tastefully decorated, comfortable, clean and quiet. The hotel is in a great location near Du Pont Circle and easily accessible to the metro system. Housekeeping provides daily service, all too rare these days.
One of the cleanest properties we have stayed in.
Very quaint and in a great location.

Love the location and staff is great. Bathroom was extremely small with zero storage space. Water pressure low. Charge a $25 fee each day for a subpar fitness room and WiFi. That charge was annoying
Lovely hotel! Everyone who works here is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional! The rooms are comfortable and tastefully decorated. Will definitely stay here again!

Great location close to Metro
Manager Kenny was Fantastic
Very big room very clean
We spent 6 days here for spring break, the area was safe and we were comfortable walking around. The bus line to get to the attractions was about 5 min walk and the metro line was about 12 min walk. Either way it was easy to get around and a great place to stay. The staff was amazing and helpful at every turn. Thank you for making our trip special for us!
The hotel room was decent. It is smaller then it looks on the pictures. There is barely space to walk around the room especially when having luggage around. There was no full body mirror in the room. As well as no counter space in the bathroom. Overall, the stay was okay.
We really enjoyed our time at the Lisle. The staff was excellent. Igor in particular was completely professional and courteous. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.
The property was comfortable and clean. However. There were no dressers or even shelves to put our clothes in so we had to work directly out Of our suitcases.
The restaurant was beautiful - food was excellent and delicious!
I loved that the Lyle was in the neighborhood with the sorority row and diplomats housing - the area felt comfortable and safe.

Nice boutique hotel in great DuPont circle neighborhood. Comfortable beds and pillows, good tv and couch, Nespresso is nice touch. Only suggestions would be to add a mirror in the room to be used while bathroom is occupied and bathroom needs a towel holder near sink. Otherwise it’s a very nice hotel.
The staff were friendly, kind and considerate. The room was amazing and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is in a great location close to the monuments anns museums. The employees attended needs for our entire stay. I do wish that the hotel had more mirrors considering because there were three women sharing one mirror can be pretty hectic. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Lyle hotel.
I usually love this hotel, but this time they fell short. I was supposed to receive free drink coupons, and even after I addressed it with management I was not awarded those however, I watched another guest check in and she was immediately given them also upon check-in the employee basically treated me like I didn’t have enough money to stay there. If they would’ve checked their records, they would’ve seen that I have stayed there two times previously, I also was provided one of the smallest rooms when I was staying there for six days and had basically no space to put my things in. I am questionable if I will stay here again.
The restaurant and bar are amazing. They give a great vibe, especially on the weekend for brunch. My 17 yr old was feeling a little under the weather and one of the waiter offered to bring him hot water, honey and lemon. I was sold.
The property was extremely clean inside and out. I so particular so I always travel with a pair of extra sheets but i didn't need them. The sheets were spotless and so comfortable as was the bed.
I'll be back many more times.
Great location near Dupont Circle, very nice room (especially the shower), bar / restaurant has a nice vibe, and the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. Noon checkout is a plus.
My wife and I enjoyed the hotel breakfast and the room space. The Hotel was quite busy during the cherry blossom season, but we rested very well, not hearing noise over night.
The only complaint is about the lack of window or fan in the bathroom.
