We have stayed quite a few times and keep returning, it’s An amazing place to relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, watching the birds and kangaroos from the balcony with a natural bush setting metres away is an added bonus. The staff are amazing and are always available, for an escape from a hectic lifestyle you can’t beat this property. Can’t wait to go back

Beautiful setting, great cabin but a few niggles!
Amazing location, beautiful setting. Friendly lady at check in. Accommodation was good, well equipped. Parking right next to accommodation. Great spa bath and hammock. Deck well equipped with furniture/bbq.
Sofa needed replacing we were told about this on arrival (apparently delayed because of covid delivery hold up) perhaps they could have covered with a blanket like they did the top half.
They had to change our dates because of a mistake on booking system. Quite inconvenient, very apologetic however but did say they would give a discount but this never happened.
More privacy between the decks of the neighbouring cabins would be nice. Could put up natural screens, would then feel more private.
Thought there might be at least a little carton of milk on arrival, tea and coffee supplied although instant coffee sachets were very dried up so not sure how long they had been there. Bottle of wine would have been a nice touch.
Kitchen well equipped although wine glasses ridiculously tiny! I would have brought two myself if I had known! Would be an easy fix. Saucepans raised in the middle so hard to cook with. Kettle didn't stop boiling automatically so had to be turned off manually. Door to freezer compartment missing so slow to freeze, no ice tray luckily I brought one. Tea towel, dish cloth and detergent supplied for washing up.
Pillows very high for us, uncomfortably so, but that's just personal taste.
Enjoyed seeing a pair of kangaroos around the property.

Great secluded cabins near Jervis Bay
Stayed for 2 days as part of a longer trip. Really enjoyed the comfort of the cabin during some rainy weather - great to be able to curl up and borrow some board games. Very clean and comfortable and a great spa tub - nice and secluded from both the highway and other cabins in the retreat. Great base to explore the area from, would be happy to return. Only minor issue was a fan light not working.

I absolutely loved my stay, it was a magnificant place that has a beautiful country feel with the luxury of a river. I suprised my partner for his 30th birthday for 2 night's away and he was inlove with it too. Spa bath was awesome and the kangaroos everywhere allowed you to really feel connected to the place. We will be back, probably over and over because its our now favourite holiday spot ever!

This really is a retreat as the name suggests, but prepare yourself to be immersed into nature, peace and serenity. The view looking over the river is amazing and you find yourself surrounded by kookaburras, kangaroos and wallabies. The host is an absolute treasure, her only goal is to make you comfortable and enjoy your stay. The little extras she offers visitors can mean so much. Highly recommend

Couples only retreat in the middle of the Australian bush. Our unit was river facing, totally quiet other than wildlife and very private. Unit has its own undercover parking and totally self contained. 2 person open spa, double shower and very comfortable bed. No faults and walked away refreshed and relaxed and will definitely come back.

Loved the indoor spa overlooking the river! Very romantic location
Bewong RIver Retreat was nicely tucked away but still close enough to get to all the Jervis Bay and Shoalhaven beached. The rooms are a bit old fashioned, but perfectly fine as you are out in the bush. There were dozens of wild kangaroos on the property, we had a possum jump down onto our porch the first night to have a look and the river was only a short walk from the chalet where you can go fishing or canoeing. The only issue we had is there is no door or curtain between bedroom and lounge and this meant a huge amount of sunshine came through early in the morning. So a sleeping eye cap is recommended.
We enjoyed the natural surrounds and the spacious spa bath. The layout of the place was really nice and the shower was a good size. The balcony was lovely with the hammock and view.
Only 25 minutes from Booderee National Park, this gorgeous little retreat has everything you’d want for a relaxing weekend away. Nice rioms, lovely bush outlook, and surprisingly good food and coffee at the Roadhouse next door!
What a relaxing and peaceful couples getaway we had. We would highly recommend this accomodation to anyone wanting a peaceful, child free break away

Nice break away from Sydney
Nice relaxed retreat in the bushland, kangaroos and wallabies on the retreat too. We used the pool table in the communal area as well. The cabin was good, comfy bed and couch and a great BBQ with a huge Spa Bath with jets. But need a few more kitchen utensils, as there was only 1 wine glass and 1 champagne glass. Dead Mossies smeared onto the walls hadn't been cleaned either. Their was issues with the Hot Water too. In all we would stay here again given the location and how relaxed it is (nice hammock too), but the Cabins need a little facelift.
Found this spot looking for somewhere to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
The location, facilities, and amenities were perfect for our get-away.
From the secure entrance to the property, to the feeling you were a million miles away from the cares of the world, and lucky to share this with only a handful of people - everything was just right.
The tranquility of the Australian Bush, with wildlife literally (kangaroos and native birds) at our doorstep made our short stay even more memorable.
We could have used all of the facilities available, including fishing, kayaking, and other activities, if we had stayed a little longer.
If you want peace, serenity, tranquility, idyllic natural surroundings, for a romantic getaway or just some time out, and don't want to be part of the hustle and bustle of hotel accommodation on NSW's South Coast - find this place!

Relaxing place but in need of adjustment
All in all I had a really enjoyable stay. Being out of town and just being with my partner did wonders for our stress levels. The place itself was okay. It has some great features that were sadly let down by the execution.
For example, the shower was large and had two separate shower heads. This would have been amazing if the water pressure allowed for the showers to be run consecutively. However, this is not a deal breaker and the Retreat can easily rectify this with some maintenance or upgrades to their pumps.
Pros:
Wonderful, quiet location
Canoe available if desired
Plenty of wildlife and walking trails
Cons:
Water pressure
Cleanliness of facilities
Great place for couples to get away for a night or two. Make sure you bring your own food, nothing is provided in the room except for a little milk and tea / coffee.
Really enjoyed our stay whilst competing at a triathlon in husky.
The spa bath and verandha hamoock providing perfect recovery tools. Really lovely quiet surroundings.
Only criticism is that pillows were very high.
