"It was a beautiful resort. Amazing room. Very clean and the staff are very helpful and very nice and polite. We needed to checkout at 6 am to make it to the airport, they had a breakfast box ready for us to eat on the way. Highly recommend. Would return here for sure"

"Pros - Gorgeous setting in a pretty garden with a lovely pool. Very peaceful with no traffic noise - great for light sleepers. If you need to head out sightseeing before breakfast time, they can provide a breakfast box. Our balcony was spacious and came with a drying rack which came in really handy. Staff are helpful. The bed only has sheets but if you request a blanket they provide one straight away. And it’s just a minute’s walk to the beach, and surrounded by cafes, laundry services and beauty therapy spas. Cons - We booked a standard twin room on Expedia 11 months in advance, and although the booking conditions stated a twin room wasn’t guaranteed, we were disappointed that with such a long booking period the hotel didn’t have any twins available. I tried to get a rollaway bed instead, as the Expedia advertisement said the room came with rollaway/extra beds for free, but the hotel said there was a charge for them. The Expedia ad also said the room had a minibar and electric kettle, but it did not. I don’t know if this is Expedia’s error or the hotel’s, but I mention it so people who do need a minibar, kettle or rollaway bed have realistic expectations. There was also a small hole in the door to the balcony which I stuffed with toilet paper so mosquitos couldn’t get in - that worked well, so if you get the same room as us you should try that."

ONYX Park Resort Ubud

"We stayed at Onyx for six nights in the penthouse apartment as a family of four. Overall, we had an enjoyable stay and there were many things we really liked about the property, particularly the spacious accommodation, pool, children’s facilities, gym, food and service. However, there were also several aspects of the penthouse and overall resort experience that I felt could be improved. Some of these are relatively minor inconveniences, while others are worth considering, particularly for families travelling with young children. The penthouse itself was clean, spacious and comfortable. Having plenty of space was a real benefit for our family, especially as we were staying for six nights. The bed was also very comfortable, which made a big difference during our stay. The room was generally well presented, although I personally found the artwork and decor quite overwhelming. There were a lot of decorative elements competing for attention, and I think the space could feel more relaxing with a slightly simpler and more understated design. This is, of course, a matter of personal preference, but I felt that the decor sometimes took away from the otherwise beautiful and spacious apartment."

Padma Resort Ubud

"Our stay at Padma Resort Ubud was exceptional, and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. One of the biggest standouts was the food. The breakfast and dinner buffets offered probably the best diversity of cuisines I have experienced at any hotel in the world. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Fire & Feast experience, which included an incredible platter with five different proteins, sides, sauces, soup, salad, and gelato. There is also so much to do within the resort. We enjoyed the hike to the bamboo bridge, and the hotel offers numerous complimentary activities, including archery, golf, animal feeding, and fishing. The swimming pool and fitness center were also excellent, and I appreciated being able to maintain my daily exercise routine. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was kind, friendly, and hospitable, and we appreciated the welcome drinks upon arrival. The location is also convenient for exploring Ubud and the surrounding attractions. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and feel this resort deserves even more recognition. With stronger marketing, I think Padma Resort Ubud could easily become an even more well-known destination. We would absolutely stay here again."
