"Amazing tent setup, wheelchair accessible on the inside (getting up to the tent, a ramp would be helpful for future visits or for more guests with disabilities). Location is amazing with ramp down to a small beach area. Felt like a true “glamping” experience and wildlife around the camp area. Private enough but still feel like you are apart of the camp community. Would highly recommend "

Frequently asked questions

How much does a pet-friendly hotel in Walpole cost?
You can find pet-friendly hotels in Walpole from £69 with Expedia. Staying at a pet-friendly hotel offers a convenient and welcoming experience for travellers who don't want to leave their furry companions behind. Find the best deals by being flexible with your dates, and sort search results by "Price: low to high" for our cheapest rates.
Which area of Walpole is best to stay in for pet-friendly hotels?
The best area to stay in Walpole for pet-friendly hotels is generally along the main routes leading into and out of the town centre, particularly around South Coast Highway.

This area is convenient for travellers arriving by car, as many accommodations here are set up to cater for guests with pets. You'll find a mix of holiday parks, motels, and self-contained rooms that often feature grounds or nearby open spaces suitable for walking dogs. This makes it a practical choice for those looking for ease of access and facilities that welcome furry friends.

For couples travelling with pets, hotels slightly outside the immediate town centre but still close to the South Coast Highway can offer a good balance. These spots often provide a bit more space and a quieter setting, while still being a short drive from local attractions like the Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk or the Walpole-Nornalup National Park, which has some pet-friendly walking trails.

Families with pets will also appreciate the flexibility offered by accommodations in this area. Many properties provide self-catering options, which can be very useful when travelling with children and animals.
How do I ensure I have booked a pet-friendly room in Walpole?
To ensure you've booked a pet-friendly room on Expedia, use the filters in your search and select "Pet friendly" under the "Amenities" section. This will narrow your options to properties that allow pets. Once you find a hotel you're interested in, click on it and review the "Policies" section for specific details about their pet policy. This often includes information about pet types, size restrictions, fees, and whether pets are allowed in all rooms or only certain ones. When selecting your room type, read the room description to check that its pet-friendly, as not all rooms in a pet-friendly hotel may accommodate pets. For added peace of mind, contact the hotel directly to confirm the room you've selected allows pets.
What pet-friendly activities should we do in Walpole?
The best pet-friendly activities in Walpole include exploring the region's natural beauty through its walking trails and designated dog exercise areas.

For a relaxing day out with your dog, the Walpole-Nornalup National Park offers several walking tracks where dogs are permitted on a lead. One popular option is the Knoll Drive, a scenic loop that provides lovely views of the Walpole and Nornalup Inlets. You can park at the Knoll and enjoy a gentle stroll through the forest, taking in the local flora and fauna.

Couples travelling with their pet will find the Walpole Foreshore a pleasant spot. It features a paved walking path along the water's edge, superb for a leisurely walk with your dog. There are also picnic tables and open grassy areas where your pet can stretch its legs (on a lead, of course). It's a nice place to enjoy the views and the fresh air.

The Giant Tingle Tree, located within the Walpole-Nornalup National Park, is another excellent pet-friendly option. While dogs aren't allowed on the elevated boardwalk around the tree itself, there are several clearly marked walking trails leading to the tree where dogs on a lead are welcome.
What amenities should I look for in a pet-friendly hotel in Walpole?
When selecting a hotel in Walpole for you and your pet, look for amenities like food and water bowls, pet-friendly outdoor spaces and pet beds. You may find hotels that go the extra mile with pet-friendly dining options, treats and toys. It's also worth looking to see if there are any pet-friendly parks or walking trails nearby.
How can I save on a pet-friendly hotel in Walpole with Expedia?
There are plenty of ways to save on a pet-friendly hotel in Walpole. Join One Key™, our free travel rewards program, to unlock Member Prices across a range of premium hotels. Typically, booking in advance will help you save on your pet-friendly hotel booking.
Do any Walpole hotels have restrictions on pet sizes or breeds?
First ensure you have picked a pet-friendly hotel by using the "Pet friendly" filter under the "Amenities" section in your search. If a hotel in Walpole has restrictions on pet sizes or breeds, you will find this information clearly in their property listing on Expedia. When you're on the property listing page, simply click on "Policies" to see what pet-specific policies the hotel implements.
Is it cheaper to book flights and a pet-friendly hotel in Walpole as a package?
Booking a hotel and flight package on Expedia can be cheaper than booking flights and hotels separately. Bundling can lead to significant savings, especially for international travel or when booking well in advance. However, savings vary depending on factors like destination, travel dates, and availability, so it's wise to compare options. With access to over 300,000 hotels worldwide, Expedia makes it easy to build the perfect travel package.
Can I cancel my pet-friendly hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline. This is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use Expedia's "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right pet-friendly hotel in Walpole for you.
