2 Night Birding stayover

This is truly a great place to stay. Bettie was friendly during our check in. Great breakfast and Johan and Ronel very friendly hosts. Nice view over the dam and Pretty Pig is a nice size unit.

The best country life feeling.

We really enjoyed our New Year's stay with Ronelle at our "Pretty Piggy" cottage at Forellenhof Guest Farm. We stayed there over the New Year's period and Ronelle was fantastic in recommending places we could visit to celebrate New Year's. We ended up staying at home and watching the fireworks over Wakkerstroom from our veranda. What fun! Thank you, Ronelle. I appreciate all the lovely touches you have added to your place to make our experience so memorable.

Wunderschönes kleines Farmhaus mitten in der Natur

Wir wurden sehr nett begrüßt und empfangen. Das Paar, das den Forellenhof betreibt ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben abends zusammen gesessen und uns nett unterhalten. Die Vogelwelt ist dort wirklich klasse. Es ist sehr sehr sauber! Ich würde bei einer weiteren Reise wieder einen Stop dort einlegen um die Ruhe zu genießen. Ich kann die Unterkunft nur loben und weiter empfehlen. Man kann sich dort gut selbst verpflegen. Die Küche ist riesig und es gibt draußen eine sehr große Terrasse mit Grillstelle und Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Zimmer sind klein aber liebevoll eingerichtet! Auch für Familien sehr zu empfehlen! Es gibt auch einen Spielplatz und viele Farmtiere.

Peace at the Freckled Frog

Stayed in the Freckled Frog. Great for a family getaway. No TV! Facilities great, clean, daily friendly cleaning service. Enjoyed playing board games while the indoor fireplace was warming up the room. Enjoyed the town and environment. Great ambiance. Did some bird watching and cycling.

Perfekt für Südafrika Ruhe, super nette Gastgeber, Service 1a. Was will man mehr. Sehr familiär, einfach gut Der letzte km der Zufahrt ist Schotterpiste. Aber ohne 4WD machbar

Absolutely faultless and fabulous

What a beautiful setting and even more beautiful accommodation. The personnel were friendly and welcoming and catered to every need. No doubt that we shall use this little gem again!
