Swim with turtles, surf, snorkel, collect coral and seashells, or enjoy nearby hiking—all just minutes from the cottage. The iconic coastal surf town of Haleʻiwa is only a 10-minute drive or bike ride away, offering restaurants, shopping, beaches, and classic North Shore surf culture. We are an airline family and travel often, bringing what we’ve learned from our own stays around the world into this space to make your stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Stay in this serene cottage on the legendary North Shore of Oʻahu. Features of the guesthouse: • Located in a laid-back, eclectic neighborhood near a beautiful off-the-beaten-path beach • Fully renovated in Spring 2024; everything brand new as of May 2024 • Two quiet split A/C units (one in the bedroom, one in the living area), capable of cooling to 60 degrees or lower • Situated on a large, lush agricultural lot surrounded by mango and avocado trees • Secure, fenced property with electric gate and keypad access • Approximately 5-minute walk to the beach for snorkeling with turtles, sunbathing, long walks, shell collecting, and surfing at nearby breaks including Silva’s, Rodgers, Glass Doors, and Fuji’s • Fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, oven and stove, Keurig coffee maker, cookware, pots, and pans • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and other essentials provided for your entire stay • Large outdoor area with full-size washer and dryer, luggage storage, beach chairs, snorkel sets, foam surfboards, and beach towels • Completely private patio with mountain views for lounging • Wi-Fi and Smart TV • Park directly next to your unit Location highlights: • 10-minute drive to Haleʻiwa for dining and shopping • 35 minutes to Honolulu International Airport • 45 minutes to Waikīkī You are on vacation—there are no checkout chores to do here. This is a quiet residential neighborhood with no nearby hotels. Families live on either side of the property, and you may hear children playing in the afternoons or on weekends. The guesthouse is a stand-alone unit with private access and is not close to the owner’s home, though we do live on the property if assistance is ever needed. There is one additional rental on the property, rented long-term or short-term depending on the season. Guests are asked to respect privacy by staying within the vicinity of their cottage and surrounding yard. The property is large, with plenty of space for everyone. Walking to the beach was great - it was really nice to be in a neighborhood. We noted that the tree covered walkway to the beach was very clean. People obviously take care of the surroundings. The house was a lovely one bedroom stand alone space that was thoughtfully landscaped - we were able to leave windows open and it still felt very private. It was clean and comfortable.
