"I loved everything about this property. The personalized touches, safety, spa, afternoon, tea, absolute, beautiful gardens, and architecture. The views were outstanding. If I could, I would live there."

"I loved this place. It was old and quaint but clean. A tropical sitting area and a skylight with a ton of history in photos all over the walls. We climbed the many stairs to the rooftop lookout twice. What a view!! The continental breakfast was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful even giving us suggestions for day tours and arranging taxi's. Very close to the historical centre with churches and museums as well as many shops and restaurants. But remember, this hotel is 400 years old so the old wood floors creak and the walls are not soundproof. If you want modern with all the bells and whistles, this is not the place. Thats what I loved about it. "

The only thing negative was that breakfast was only from 7 to 9 am which is a bit short because of the needs of the guests especially if they need to take an early flight "

"This is a very different style hotel if you are used to staying in the big chains. We had a family room booked for my family of 3. My son slept in the loft and loved it. The hotel appears to have been completely restored. Lots of old wooden features and art work. There is a wine cellar where you can purchase a bottle of wine and there is a spiral stair case that takes you to the roof and gives you a GREAT view of the historical area of Quito. We encountered rain every night so we did not get the chance to go to the roof and enjoy a drink. Hotel does provide loaner umbrellas cause when it rains in Quito, it RAINS. This is an old hotel, so the floors do squeak in spots but you get used to it. Staff was amazing, they helped us book a tour and transportation. They also made us breakfast every morning with fresh fruit and eggs. Location is great. You are like 5 blocks to the basilica church in one direction, 4 blocks to a "mall" that has great food options. And 2 blocks to Teatro Sucre which is where a bunch of tour groups pick up."

"Good experience, beautiful small hotel in a great location, walking distance to shops and restaurants. Staff were kind, lovely breakfast every morning. Roof top had wonderful views of Quito. Would highly recommend to stay at Adamas! "

"The area is unsafe. The property owner gave me room key but not the key for the front gate. So in and out of hotel, I need to ring the doorbell. If he is not in, I can’t get in."
