The charm starts when you turn off the paved road and onto the gravel road . It’s a very short drive on this road as you travel through the lush surroundings, to then be welcomed into a circular driveway surrounded by luscious scenery and a fairy tale cabin. As you enter Hale Sweet Hale, you’ll be greeted by the spirit of Aloha. Skylights in all the rooms let in the morning sun and the evening moonlight and starlight. The covered lanai expands across the entire back of the home. After a bit of a bumpy ride you find yourself in a tastefully decorated, very clean little house in the rainforest. Falling asleep to the sound of the frogs and waking up to the sounds of birds was wonderful. Lorena was great on communication and answering any questions in a timely manner. The kitchen was well furnished with dishes. The only downside being the handle to the microwave was broken. Being so close to the park guaranteed full days of exploring & hiking. The cabin is situated on a rural grass road, surrounded by trees, birds singing all day and frogs peeping at night. It feels like you are in the middle of the jungle, yet it’s only minutes away from Volcano National Park. The cabin is picturesque both inside and out. It was clean, spacious and had lovely little touches like fresh flowers. It was perfectly located for dinner at the Volcano house and a day of exploring the park. It’s very private and well equipped with any amenities you might need. The hot tub was a nice perk after a long day of exploring. The location was so convenient for accessing volcano national park and we timed it just right and were able to see Kīlauea erupting! I stay in many B&Bs across the country and can literally say this was the absolute best. We all loved the place from the moment we arrived. It is very welcoming with many thoughtful touches. The location was absolutely perfect as it was a bit out of town and very private, but not too far. The woodstove was perfect on cool evenings and they even provided firestarter and kindling. We were pleasantly surprised by how well maintained the property was give the dampness in this part of the island.The only negative, as mentioned by others, is the security camera that's directed right at the hut tub. We didn't notice this at first and were surprised to see it. I see that the owner mentioned it's not monitored but it's not clear if it's not recording? It would be such an easy problem to fix by moving the camera, I'm shocked it hasn't been addresses give all the negative feedback. ##### Chris A. The cabin was clean, warm, and well-appointed. The hot tub was in great, working condition. The communication with and directions from the host were excellent.
