I cannot say enough good things about this wonderful hotel. The room was perfect, with classic period decor. The staff was friendly and attentive, the breakfast bar was lovely (and the woman who took my coffee order made the very best coffee!).
All this, and the location, in the heart of St Germain and the 6th. Exceptional value for the money. I ’ll never stay anywhere else when I’m in Paris!

Breakfast was basic, but it was ok.
The beds were a little harder than I like, but clean.
Rooms were cleaned daily to the highest standards. This was the best part of our stay.
Toiletries were basic, but we thankfully brought our own.
Quiet, safe area with easy access to restaurants and shops.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Chez Mathilde near Verdun. Annie, our host, was absolutely lovely — so welcoming and friendly, and she even treated us to delicious homemade goodies. L'Epine is a spectacular location and the hotel is right beside the beautiful Basillica. We couldn't work-out how to control the sauna and its infra-red lamps.
