Get ready for an incredible vacation at Bayside Bungalow, a home on a canal of Back Bay with water access (via a walk-in launch) and a fishing dock. Enjoy a private, in-ground saltwater pool and a short walk to Sandbridge Beach, where surfing, paddleboarding, and a beautiful stretch of sand await. The house sits on a quiet, safe cul-de-sac street where your kids can ride bikes or play in the large yard. When you return home from the beach in the afternoons, you can take in beautiful sunsets over Back Bay on one of the two second-floor decks or the pool deck. A covered area under the deck provides plenty of shade while you make use of the outdoor minifridge and gas grill. A walk-in ramp allows you to easily launch your kayak, canoe, or paddleboard on the canal. The main living area is on the second floor, perfectly designed with an open floor plan for family get-togethers. The kitchen has a large island with barstool seating, while the dining area has a table for eight and spills onto the outside deck with additional seating and a glass table. This deck overlooks the pool area, the canal, and the beautiful morning sunrise. The living area is furnished with an oversize sectional sofa and an entertainment system with a 60-inch 4K HDTV with streaming capability and a sound bar. Another deck extends outside from behind the sofa facing Back Bay. The entire house was recently refreshed with new furniture and fixtures and a remodeled bathroom. Each bedroom is decorated to give you and your family a tropical and beachy feel. In this perfect Sandbridge location, you'll find both seclusion and convenience. The beach is just 1,500 feet away while all the major stores are within a few minutes' drive. If you need something fast, Sandbridge Seaside Market is only one mile from your doorstep. THINGS TO KNOW The pool will be open from late April through early/mid-October. This property is managed by Vacasa Virginia LLC. If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles. Dock details: Please note: this home resides in a noise-sensitive area and the owners participate in our Good Neighbor protection program. We really enjoyed the stay and the boys loved being able to launch their kayaks so easily from the dock. Little bit of a long walk to the beach on hot days but the house itself was very nice and kitchen had most everything we needed. The internet strength wasn't that good and was hard to watch TV in the bedrooms without it cutting out. The pool and hot tub were a huge hit!! Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The beds are hard and overused, the outdoor cushions are covered in spiderwebs with some covered in black mold. There is a leak in the main bedroom when it rains. The first floor is the real disappointment. There is clearly a moisturizer issue as snacks in cardboard boxes become moist or stick together. The smell of mildew is pungent and does not dissipate. We contacted the vacation management company (with pictures and video) and there was little resolve. Little things such as broken closet doors, limited towel hooks (1 per bathroom for a house of 15), broken downstairs shower, broken toilet paper holders, broken pool light, weeds growing through deck, and limited storage (no dresser or closet system to put things away) just add insult to injury. I think the management company needs to contact owners about poor up keep. This is not home I would recommend. ##### Nathaniel (Nate) W. We were not happy when we arrived. There was bird crap all over the back porch that we had to claim up. Two of the bathrooms toilet roll dispensers were hanging off the wall. Knobs in the bathroom cabinet were stripped off. Used water bottles left under the bed in the bedroom. Vents were filthy and the popcorn ceiling had dirt and dust hanging. The freezer door would not stay closed causing frost build up. There were piles of dog crap left in the back yard from previous renters. The downstairs sliding door was a struggle to open and close where the kids could not even use it. We made the best with what we had and were shocked none of this was disclosed before. We have been spending our family vacation in Sandbridge for the last 7 years and this was the worst. We would never have come back if this was our first experience. ##### Deborah M. The pool was wonderful and the hottub was a bonus as it wasn't in the listing. We did find the cleanliness lacking. We had to wash some of the sheets when we first arrived as there were spilled items on some and what looked to be vomit on others. The carpets in the livingroom had massive dust bunnies everywhere and the dishwasher was loaded with dirty dishes but unran.. aside from the cleanliness upon check in, the property was wonderful and we would definitely stay again. ##### Kendra C.
